4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: APR 9, 2012 Almost no aroma that I can discern. This is made up for in taste, however, with its hops and slightly burned tasting malts complimenting one another. Tried again with Dave at the brewery in April, 2012.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl bottle. 8%.
Black colour with a faint red hue. Small to no head. Aroma is faint and the hops is very well hidden. Some notes of coffee, toffee and charcoal. Missing the hops. Flavour is bitter and the hops is present. A bit weird blend of hops, roasted malts, coffee, floral notes and fruits. Short aftertaste.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black beer with red hue and tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, lots of liquorice. Flavour rather sweet, slight salty tone, burned malts and hops bitterness. Malts seem to dominate, leaving little room for the hop aroma’s to develop. First black IPA I ever tasted. Not quite as complex as I imagined, still rather nice brew.
