Bottle. Traded with Borresteijn. Thanks Rob! It pours really dark brown with a medium tan head. The aroma is sweet roasted with some flowery hoppy notes. Light chocolate notes. The flavour has loads of liquorice notes along with hard roasted malt, tobacco, light chocolateand some citric hops in the background. Long roasted finish. Not very IPA like but a very nice stout indeed!

Draught at GBBF 2011. Dark reddish brown color. Sweet and roasty with coffee, licorice as well as lemony and peppery hops. Full body. A slow sipper.

330ml bottle @ Patricks. Dark amber body with a small beige head. Aroma is light roasted malt, coffee, liquorices and fruity hops. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt, fruity bitter and coffee with hint of dry fruit. Fine body, decent aftertaste with quite strong roast. Nice beer, but feels more like a hoppy stout than black IPA.

Csaj a jó sör, Budapest.

0,33 l bottle, Csakajosor
Poured black and oily with a fine creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffe, after a while the hop arrives with a resiny-fruity character. Medium bodied one, taste of coffe and roasted grains, caramel and tobacco, some earth, easy hop(according to an IPA) with herbal-light citrusses-resin. Rather roasted, light fruity bitterness in the finish.

330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Lovely aroma of fruity hops (citrus, tropical fruits), also roasted malts and mild coffee. The medium dry flavour has also a mix of fruity hops and roasted malts, smooth first, then a pronounced hoppy and roasty bitterness in the finish. Good stuff, very drinkable for its strength

0.33l bottle @ Baran Café, Bergen. I got the second last bottle they had. Picked it right off the wall. A deep daark - almost black actually - beer with a nice lacing and medium sized tan head. The aroma is filled with chocolate, chocolate ice cream, caramel and sticky licorice. Lovely stuff! Average carbonation level and a mild, smooth as a baby-elephant but mouthfeel. Flavors really nicely packed together. Lovely is a word I could use again and again on the flavors. Hoppy, dark, roasted, coffee and chocolate. Ends quite mouthdrying. I’m not really a black IPA-guy, but this was really really nice.
