11.2oz bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a light tan head. Aroma of citrusy hops plus a lot of roasted and chocolate malts. Flavor about the same. Average texture. A good black IPA.

bottle at home as part of European Local Swap from RW80, thanks Robert. almost black color, big tan head. big coffee liqueurish smell, malty sweetness, some dried fruits, malt candy. full body, soft carbonation, nice mouthfeel, roasty taste, some subtle fruit notes, grapefruit, mulberry, some hidden sweetness, some pine notes, also herbal. good piney bitter / herbal also slight malty sweet finish. finish overall more bitter roasty. gets better on subsequent sips. ABV is well hidden. quite good, finish a bit too herbal for me to get a better rating.

Visual negro totalmente opaco, espuma cremosa, duradoura.

Bottle cheers to Roxy. All round a decent BIPA but didn’t find anything great to set it apart from the pack. Happily drank it though

Pours black with a large, lasting light tan head. Nose shows toasty and bready malt, caramel, figs, sultanas and some resinous, piny hops. Bittersweet flavours, some bready malt, lots of piny and resinous hops along with a bit of hot booze. Finishes with an aggressive bitterness.

Bottle: Pours dark brown with a short, creamy beige head. Smoky, vanilla/licorice scent. Flavour is strong, resiny hops, vanilla, cream, licorice...chocolate/coffee malts. Very good.

Bottle from Valhalla’s Goat. Dark brown body with a medium cream coloured head. Lots of sticky lacing. Aroma of coffee, treacle and smoked wood. Flavour of fig, mushy apple and caramel. Quite restrained for a Black IPA. Medium body with a chewy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. An elegant beer that drinks like it’s 5.0% ABV.
