Bottle at Boreft Bier Festival 2010, Bodegraven. Clear brown coloured brew with an hoppy, dried fruits and liquorice taste, and a bitter finish.

Near black pour with minimal head. Nice bitter aroma and flavor. Super ashy finish. Tastes like you just ate a cigar.

Stockholm Beer & Whiskey 2012: Trevlig doft av fat. Smaken är lite mer diskret med små kaffetoner och annars inget märkvärdigt.

Real ale, drunk at the real ale festival at in de wildeman in Amsterdam. Dark cola body, no head. Light, warm aroma. Taste strong, sweett, liqurice, with a great bitter finish.

LoFi (1345) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - SEP 9, 2012
Sampled bottle at GBF 2012. Dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma: peat, fruity, licorice. Taste: quite peaty, coffee, some tropical fruit, orange, grapefruit. Medium-bodied. The BA element is not very successful.

Big thanks to my secret santa for this one! Pours an oily brown color with a khaki ring of foam. Smells like salt water taffy. Tastes of rubber, ash, and wonderful. Excellent marriage of hops and char.

Bottle@Home. Chocolate, licorice, malts, light sour, fruity aroma with a hint of whisky. Ruby colour, light brown head, good lace. Sweet, bitter, loads of whisky, licorice, red berries. Dry mouth feel. Bit out of balance and too much whisky for me.

Dark brown with lasting beige head. Roasted malts and coffe bitterness dominate the aroma and taste. Full-bodied beer with medium carbonation. Unfortunately there’s not much Bowmore to be found in the taste. Little more complexitiy would improve this beer.

Bottle. Pours a dark, hazy brown colour with an one finger tanned head. Aroma of coffee, roast, grapefruit, pines, resin and hops. Flavour has a lot of sweetness to it, I expected or hoped for some more whisky, but it wasn’t there. Still a really good beer. Maybe it’s better that it had not that much whisky notes. It’s nicely located on the background.. very good beer.
