[ As Emelisse Black & Tan ].
Clear medium to dark black brown color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, dusty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, burnt, coffee, sugary, roasted bitter. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20140926]

Borefts VI. Day 2. Bottle. Clear but very dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Mild dark malts, touch of roast and dry dark chocolate. Mild dried fruits, Dry finish. Not bad.

[9/27/14] Draught sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2014 in Bodegraven. Black with a light brown head. Aroma of coffee, roasted grains and a bit of hops. Roasty and hoppy flavor with some coffee, a bit of chocolate, piney notes and a bitter finish. Quite full and rounded. Very nice.

Keg at BBF ’6, 27/09/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a moderate khaki covering. Nose is roast malt, nutty, light pine, earthy cocoa, red berry tang. Taste comprises chocolate fudge, spice, earthy hop notes, brown sugars, red berries, light roast. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent blend, good balance.

Borefts. Black with nice creamy beige head. Roasted grains and nuts, coffee, lots of piny and fruity hops. Some chocolate and a nice spiciness. Nice creamy feel. Pretty good.
