COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Emelisse Blond is a soft and malty artisinal beer. The colour green stands for the American Cascade hop used. This gives it a hoppy and herbal flavour.

Frisk duft av citrusfrukter. Fin gyllen farge. Lite tynt dekkende skum.

Luppolatura gradevole, leggermente astringente, beverina.

Bottled, no date available but bought a month ago in the local Mitra, large sample. Slight hazy orange color, medium frothy off-white head, some debris. Aroma has some cookie and biscuit maltiness, hint of garlic, grapefruit, bit spicy. Bit bitter, bit spicy, bit dry. Bit sharpish alcohol in the palate. I have the feeling this bottle was past its peak. Currently it doesn’t taste like an IPA, but then again Emelisse doesn’t say it’s an IPA either.

Dorqui (2056) - Brescia, ITALY - JUL 31, 2013
Bottled 0,33L. Fraught orange hazy color, good bubbly and crisp aspect, discreet creamy head of long duation. Good fruity hop aroma, little citrus notes, fruit from a citrus tree, clear mildew, cellar. Not much lively taste, discreet smooth body, very equilibrate alcoholic perception, sweetish fruity start with a pleasant arid bitter end.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2013 Pours a thin non-lasting head, Amber colour and penny a little carbonation. Nose with citrus and sweet fruits and sourish smells. Interesting IPA-like flavour with the mentioned fruits, coming from the hops but without (big) bitterness. Not what you expect from a traditional blonde as it says on the label: again a very good beer from Emelisse.

caramel, floral, golden, frothy, white foam, Easy drinking IPA. Very sessionable. Great to see the influence of American brewers in Europe.

On tap @Lúpulo Feroz, Oviedo. Some swwet and belgian yeast. Pours bright gold, some hazy, some lacing, average white head. Medium body, high carbonation. Mild bitter, some hints of sweetness. Some dry aftertaste. Enjoyable, but more a golden ale rather than an ipa.
