COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Emelisse Blond is a soft and malty artisinal beer. The colour green stands for the American Cascade hop used. This gives it a hoppy and herbal flavour.

Has a bit hoppy, fruity and malty aroma from the bottle. From the bottle it feels more thick and dense. From the glass on the other hand it’s definitely way more fresh. A bit sour with easily noticeable Belgian yeast. It’s hazy, golden color beer, with nice white head and great lacing. It’s strongly carbonated, very drinkable, refreshing. In taste it’s unfortunately quite empty and flat. Has some malty notes, a lot of the ones coming from yeast and in the end has pleasant bitterness. The beer is great for refreshment but in overall it’s not that interesting.

The beer has a beautiful amber color. The foam is little, but purely white. A thin drape of foam remains on top of the beer t form a distinguished covering layer. The smell is devine. It is so sweet and fruity. It is a tropical fruit punch accompanied by a bitterness that tells you this is beer and not the aroma of heaven. This is one of the best smelling beers in a long time. The taste is equally tasteful. Fruity as hell, little bitternes, a heavenly treat for the tastebuds. Wow.

Mooie oranje bruine kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt fruitig, hop citrus, kruiden en mout. Smaakt zoetig, honing, hop, orange.

Average, creamy, off-white head, good lacing. Hazy, light orange body. Moderate malty aroma with notes of molasses and caramel. Moderate hoppy aroma with notes of orange and lime. Moderate yeasty aroma, with notes of horse blanket, barnyard and broth. Notes of peach, sulfur and honey. Moderate sweet, moderate bitter and light acidic initial flavor. Finish is pretty much the same. Medium palate with oily texture. Lively carbonation.

330ml bottle served at a proper drinking temperature at Café Sånn in Tromsø. Slightly cloudy golden body topped by a huge, airy white head with fair retention. Lacing rings down the glass. Sappy aroma of citrus and floral hops. Super refreshing taste of fruity hops, including mandarin, orange and grapefruit. Mild but lingering smooth fruity bitterness to the ending. Well bodied. A perfect summer drink, very moreish (23.05.2015).

An unexpected flowery hop aroma welcomes you, somehow spicy and peppery. Hints of (red) berries and honey. The hop is, in the beginning, a bit too present, the rest of this brew is nicely composed and balanced. Regarding the taste, the hop is much less pronounced - still it’s a bitter beer! The combination with sweet fruity notes is surprising and works well. A high carbonation let you believe this beer is lighter than it is. The body is medium and the finish fresh-bitter with a sticky sweetness on your lips. A somehow unrefined, tough IPA. Surprising and complex but enjoyable.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2016 Nice well balanced ipa. Murky yellow with small head and pleasant carbonation. Not extremely bitter but nicely hopped. Flavor starts a bit sweet then goes to slightly sour. Lots of flowery citrus and malts in the flavor. Oily texture. Very sessionable.

This nice little blonde pours a nice head that disappears soon. The colour is slightly hazy yellow as the yeast is poured down. The aroma remains strongly of the sweetness of an IPA. The taste is typical hoppy blonde, although it lacks a little in the end to merit a 4. A nice refereshing beer.
