Aroma: Honey, Mango, sweet caramel.
Appearance: Amber, hazy with a small head.
Taste: Bitter, slightly sour, hint of liquorice.
Palate: Light-medium body, slightly oily texture, solid carbonation and a hot, bitter finish.
Overall: Smells lovely, appropriately bitter tasting but difficult to really locate the flavour.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle sample at a tasting at Tempo. Thanks Tom L. Hazy deep golden with a white head. Aroma of fruity hops, yeast and some honey-ish malt. Sweet malt flavor, a bit candy-ish and honey-ish, a bit alcoholic, with yeast, some hops and some bitterness. Medium-bodied. Kinda OK but too sweet and not hoppy enough.

I had the 06.14 A batch. Emelisse always delivers good quality brews. Looks, carbobation and texture all flawless. Taste has few surprises but is very well balanced. Initial flowery fruits then long dry bitter finish.

Markings are a bit inbetween numbers, so not really sure which hop this is, might be Amarillo. Cloudy pale amber. Grapefruit, orange marmelade, caramel, toast, a hint of chocolate even. Slightly sweet, with an intense bitterness. This really has a lot of hops. Body is medium to full, slightly sticky and creamy. I feel like others I’ve had were slightly lighter on the hops.
