Bottle 33 cl, Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Pours cloudy red amber with a nice bubbly tanned head leaving nice lacing. Aroma is sweet malty, piny, caramel, citric, bread and spicy. Fantastic velvety lean mouthfeel, almost like Sahti. Flavor is round malty, hoppy, piny, citric, sweet and fruity. So lean and thick cons., excellent. Very nice lean malty and bitter palate. Finishes peppery pungeant and longlived bitter. Just love this one.

Bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Unclear amber with a big, dense off-white head. Caramel, pineapple, lychee, orange, pine and resin in the aroma. Nice blend of hop aromas here. Some initial sweetness is firmly overrun by a good portion of hoppy bitterness. Very refreshing despite the ABV.

Tasting at ABC Beers, Den Haag. Golden amber clear pour with small off white head. Aroma has grassy hops and caramel which is matched in the flavour along with a nice bitterness

Bottle from Bierkoning. Amber body with lasting head. Hoppy nose. Oily texture. Nice taste of toffee, caramel, sweetbread. Hops and pine in the finish. Quite good actually. Not as hoppy as I expected.

Bottle from Kris Wines, London. Hazy dark amber pour with a medium off white head. Aromatic hoppy snout with notes of citrus and melon. Really excellent hop bitterness in full effect here. Further fruit and some sweetness present too. Also some spiciness, but this also has a kind of softness at the same time. This just exudes finesse with the ABV really well masked.. Excellent beer and I can’t help but feel this is underrated on here.

@ KBC festival ’s-Hertogenbosch. A hazy golden colored beer, with a thick foamy off-white head. The aroma is very hoppy with a lot of fruits like citrus and orange. The taste is hop bitter with fruits, some sweets, with notes of alcohol. The aftertaste is bitter. A great beer.

Bottle. 12 oz. Split with Vin. Pours a deep hazy brown with a thick, fluffy, insanely lacey, creamy tan head. Aroma of caramel, honey, marshmallow, sweet malts, slight fresh pine hops, and yeast. Fuller bodied with a slick, smooth, clingy palate. Finishes clean and without a trace of alcohol. Great double IPA.

16 oz. draft Pours cloudy amber with a tiny white head. Lacing is lasting. Nose is orange and grapefruit, floral with malt underneath. Taste: malty start with predominating lemon/grapefuit zest. Moves to dry, some spice, floral, with a bready backbone. Moderately bitter finish but a nice balance. While the alcohol is noticeable, it doesn’t taste the 9%. I would go back to this absolutely

Murky and light filtered brownish ale with small head that doesn’t hold. Doesn’t scream: drink me. Heavy on the hops with grapefruit, selery, grass maybe some dough. A bit overwhelming. Luckily a fairly smooth mouthfeel for the hops present. Still dry, especially in the aftertaste. Taste brings what you expect from a double IPA, nothing new. Like ththe drinkability and nice to see a real double IPA from The Netherlands! (33cl bottle)
