jcos (1559) - Maryland, USA - NOV 13, 2012
Location/Date:Bottle on November 13, 2012.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy dark maroon with light white head.
Aroma: Aroma of light caramel.
Taste: Nice amount of bitterness, lots of caramel malt, faint pine.
Palate:Medium body, slightly sticky, faint carbonation, lingering aftertaste.

Summary: Almost reads more like a "imperial red" IPA than an IPA. Which is okay, cause I enjoy that.

Countbeer (4539) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - NOV 4, 2012
Bottle: Medium to smaller sized, vast, thicker and slow disappearing creamy head on top of a deep hazy orange amber colored beer. Smell hops, citrus, pine, resin, creamy flowers, creamy malts, gass and floral herbs. Taste creamy hops, creamy malts, citrus, pine, grapefruit, resin, growing bitterness, grass, spices and floral herbs, hint of warmth and a nice floral bitter fruit tones. Good broad hop notes. Aftertaste is a good mix of floral grass and hops, bitters, grapefruit, warmth, spices and creamy malty tones. Low carbo, soft almost silky mouthfeel, good medium to fuller body and a creamy texture. Not a big fan of DIPA’s but this one is pretty nice.

Bottle at home, bought in the brewery. Nice hoppy nose with grapefruit and citrus in it, medium body, slightly caramel and yeasty flavour and an intense hoppy bitterness and aftertaste. Little odd beer, although well balanced.

Bottle. Pours brownish, medium carbonated beer with tainted white head. Heavy aroma on the nutty parts and lots of sweet, maybe little pine and lemony window wash. Taste is a huge bags of nuts, filtered and compressed with chunks of brown sugar and normal cubes. Very sweet, indeed too sweet for me. The bitterness level is nice!

Served at In De Wildeman. Poured from bottle on bartenders recommendation. Pours a dark brown with frothy head. Mild hops on the nose. Flavor is intense hops with a great malt backbone. Delicious!

This is one should think off when drinking an DIPA. It's taste is pure good nutty malts with an undeniable taste of caramel. The hops are the true winner with being bitter but overpowering. This is one of the best ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pivnizub (8919) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - SEP 9, 2012
Bottle: Cloudy, light amber coloured, small loose head, sweet raisins - a.k.a as English X-mas cake - in the sweet (!) nose, moderate to solid bitter hoppy background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied; lingering dry hoppy finish with - again - some christmas-cake around. A drinkable IPA, but pretty unusual.....
