Bottle: Cloudy, light amber coloured, small loose head, sweet raisins - a.k.a as English X-mas cake - in the sweet (!) nose, moderate to solid bitter hoppy background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied; lingering dry hoppy finish with - again - some christmas-cake around. A drinkable IPA, but pretty unusual.....

From a bottle at GBF 2012. Clear amber, medium off-white head. Sugary and nutty aroma with some glue esters, vague citric and piney hops. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Semi dry, medium bitterness.

Bottle shared with, and courtesy of Andrew. Pours a murked out, deep orange amber body with some sediment. Aroma is total malt takeover. Mouthfeel is unbalanced with the malt and sweet breadiness dominating what little hop flavor remains. Light yeast notes in the finish along with a mild bitterness. Would love to try this presumably fresh and on draft.

fles 33cl kleur: oranje/amber, niet helder, mooie niet geheel witte schuimkraag. geur: fruit (grapes?) en gras-achtig smaak: gebrand mout, fruit, en gras. Redelijk bitter in afdronk. De verschijning en geur was meer belovend dan de daadwerkelijk smaak.

The aroma is sweet and hay like with a plastic note. The appearance is hazy amber with a foamy head. The taste is like the aroma with a yeasty quality and not overly bitter. The palate is average. Overall a bit strange but OK.
