3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - 330ml. Hazy amber body with a thin white creamy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with caramel and woody hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Taste is very well balanced. It is slightly dominated by hoppy flavors and carries grapefruit and some subtle yeasty notes. Texture is soft. Ends with a sharp hoppy finish. Well done.

Draft at De Paas. Hazy orange pour with Small white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruits with caramel. Flavor Has the same with some vegetables and a little too much sweetness. Not bad but not as good as the previous 9% version.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pour a dark, unclear orange with almost no head. Sweet malty aroma with vegetal hints. Maybe a hint of fruitiness. Sweet malty flavor with more vegetal like hop flavors. Little bitterness until a bit in the finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft @ de Paas. Hazy orang colour, little head. Floral hops, pines and grapefruit aroma. Flavour has roastiness, some licorice and hop bitterness that lasts for a long time. Good DIPA, allthough I would much rather see a bigger head.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
From a 330ml bottle bought at Thorndon New World, Wellington, New Zealand.
Iím going to put this out there right up front - I donít think an IPA, be it a "DIPA" or an "Imperial" or anything should be dark orange / burnt umber in colour, with a fast-fading head. Nor should it be predominantly sour and yeasty on the nose, then in the mouth sharp and sour and tasting like a barley wine. Because thatís what this tasted like. As a light barley wine it works quite well, really, nicely drinkable, but apart from some rough sandpapery hop notes as the sourness fades, this seems very unlike an IPA. Overall, itís not bad, but not what I was looking for with the spicy food I was eating.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ Amundsen, Oslo. Pours a near-murky deep orange body with a small white head. Nose is acacia honey, cantaloupe melon and hints of grass and port wine. Interesting. Taste is sweet syrupy tones of spruce and light syrup, with hints of port wine, herbs and grass. Thick, syrupy mouthfeel, medium carbonation. A quite original DIPA with American hops, yet without the usual fruity tones; at least not in the same way. A bit sweet, but OK.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
11.2oz bottle in a tulip. Pours deep copper with a thick, cream-colored head. Aroma strong of citrusy hops, some light spiciness to it, caramel malts, and a little barnyard and resin hints. Flavor the same, could be stronger on the ingredients. Smooth texture. A pretty good beer.
