From a 330ml bottle bought at Thorndon New World, Wellington, New Zealand. Iím going to put this out there right up front - I donít think an IPA, be it a "DIPA" or an "Imperial" or anything should be dark orange / burnt umber in colour, with a fast-fading head. Nor should it be predominantly sour and yeasty on the nose, then in the mouth sharp and sour and tasting like a barley wine. Because thatís what this tasted like. As a light barley wine it works quite well, really, nicely drinkable, but apart from some rough sandpapery hop notes as the sourness fades, this seems very unlike an IPA. Overall, itís not bad, but not what I was looking for with the spicy food I was eating.

Drank with Marijn at home before heading to Daveís birthday party 20-5-16. Typical caramel & hop-bitter double IPA taste. Fine soft body. Good beer, very likeable.

330ml bottle. Slightly hazy amber color. Medium size, white head, stays. Pine, dusty, yeasty, sweet notes in aroma. Pine needles, fruity, hops in taste. Harsh bitterness in aftertaste. Yeah alcohol is hidden, but it doesnít help much. Dull brew.

330ml bottle (Uba ja Humal, Haapsalu)
Initially a lovely fresh hoppy citrussy aroma, but later sniffs are way sweeter and mashier. Taste is harsh dirty resiny and earthy bitterness. Palate full and sweet, almost sticky, but decent carbonation. Want to scrape my tongue afterwards. Looks decent, hazy orange, and a sticky off-white head.

Hazey amber colour. Very small white head. Pine on the aroma. Oranges. Mango. Taste: not as fruity as the aroma. A bit one dimentional actually. Even picking up some alcohol (?!) Had this one like 4 times before this rating but it still doesnít convince me. Meh-meh. There are so much DIPAís out there that are way better.

Bottle from Craft Wine Store 191114. Deep honey amber colour with a slight head and a powerful aroma of mostly hops. Full in the mouth, this beer delivers.
