From a 330ml bottle bought at Thorndon New World, Wellington, New Zealand. I’m going to put this out there right up front - I don’t think an IPA, be it a "DIPA" or an "Imperial" or anything should be dark orange / burnt umber in colour, with a fast-fading head. Nor should it be predominantly sour and yeasty on the nose, then in the mouth sharp and sour and tasting like a barley wine. Because that’s what this tasted like. As a light barley wine it works quite well, really, nicely drinkable, but apart from some rough sandpapery hop notes as the sourness fades, this seems very unlike an IPA. Overall, it’s not bad, but not what I was looking for with the spicy food I was eating.

Bottle from Craft Wine Store 191114. Deep honey amber colour with a slight head and a powerful aroma of mostly hops. Full in the mouth, this beer delivers.

Buena. Para repetir.

7.5%. Hmmm... Anyway, lighter on the hops and heavier on the malt than I’d prefer, but there’s a nice interplay between the fruity hops and semi sweet malt. Many iipas I like better, but this was nice. Thanks Thomas."

330 ml bottle from BG Birra, served in a nonic half pint glass. Typical sunrise orange, slightly hazy, with a a nice, creamy, forever lasting white head. Great lacing. Not the cleanest aroma, a hint of dust and yeast, obviously together with a nice bouquet of citrus, tropical fruits, a hint of pine resin and caramel malts. Quite harsh upfront, not because of the bitterness, which is actually kinda moderate, but because of a boozy and warming sensation. Light astringency, solid malt backbone (more biscuit than caramel), slightly sticky, pleasent fruity aftertaste. Average carbonation, medium body, slightly creamy texture. I had 10+% beers where the alchool was more hidden, so that’s probably the biggest fault in this beer, imho. So so.
