This is one should think off when drinking an DIPA. It's taste is pure good nutty malts with an undeniable taste of caramel. The hops are the true winner with being bitter but overpowering. This is one of the best

Kraftig smak mycket bred i doft. Att på så få alkoholprocent få så mycket smak är imponerande.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Jur (146) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 3, 2012
Emillise’s take on the American hop bomb: the Double IPA.
On popping the bottle a mushroom like cloud of hop rises. It poors a dark copper, with very fine carbonation. Not a lot of foam. There is some sediment in the bottle. The nose is toasted, herbs, camomile, with light acidity.
Not surprisingly the taste is strong with bitterness the main component, subtle notes of caramel, but a lot less fruity (apricots) than most DIPAs. Not boring at all mind you! Mouthfeel is velvety and it lingers in your mouth.
All in all a very balanced beer.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Deep hazy amber, nice lacing head. Citrussy hoppiness, biscuit, grapefruit. Quite dry, but still well-balanced. Prima.
