A lasting, sticky slice of white settles above the sedimented, muddy pale amber. Stale caramelized malts occupy the aroma and are accompanied in their sad standpost by dull cardboardy off-flavors. I did not expect a massive hop aroma out of an IPA that has a few months under the belt, but blatant oxidation like this feels exagerated, when other beers were carried together and did not feel heatstruck. Dull, fading herbal and citrusy hops provide more bitterness than aroma. The malts are sweet, not particularly vibrant and standing all alone in their sweet little corner without proper hop support. This effect is enhanced by the limited carbonation, accentuating residual sugars farther. Ugh, pretty disappointing compared to the other products I have had from Emelisse.

Malty and sweet, with a mid bitter and quite boozy and slightly smokey. Alright, but not great.

Une bière d’un parfait équilibre entre arôme fruité et amer. Des arômes maltés et végétaux au nez, en concordance avec une bouche des notes caramélisées et fde ruits exotiques.

33cl bottle pours copper with gold edges and thin tan head. The aroma offers up some pine hops as well as some sweet malts and a bit of pine hop infused fruity esters. The taste has smooth malt sweetened citrus hops that move quickly into muted yet resiny pine hop bitterness ringed by thin layers of sweet malts. It has a nice resiny hoppiness mixing with plenty of sweet malts and a bit of floral hops around the edges. OK brew.

Bottle. Pours a reddish orange color with white head. Aroma is mainly caramel and malt. Bitter, piney flavor. For a higher alcohol beer, it has light body. The aroma doesn’t have much hops, surprising for a double IPA. Pretty lame for a double IPA.

Bottle. Doesn't look very fresh from pour. Normal aroma from dipa is gone. Cloudy orange color with light tan head. Got it to try a European attempt at west coast IPA. Not worth it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
