2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Granted, not a spectacular dubbel, esp from Emelisse, but after drinking German lagers for 5 days it’s a welcome change to normality

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from a friend. It poured a very dark clear amber liquid with a small light brown head. Flavour of ripe fruit and yeast. Semi-smooth mouthfeel with a high amount of carbonation and medium thick body. A decent belgo double that doesn’t stand out of the crowd.

Bottle at Emelisse Oktoberfest 2010. A bit boring dubbel. Malty and somewhat sweet. Some bready yeast and a slightly bitter and warming alcoholic finish. Boring yet not bad.
