Hazy deep red-brown beer. Thick creamy biscuit coloured head. Semi dry palate. Sourish malt with a streak of vegetables. Spicy bubblegum ester. Finishes dry with a little dusty fruit. Too many dodgy flavours in this one. Kees and crew are normally much better than this.

Draft @ de Paas. Pours a cloudy, murky brown colour with a small, off white head on top. Aroma of malts and some sugar, alongside a yeasty presence. Flat, malty taste that lacks some sweet sugary notes in it. I was quite dissapointed by this. I expected more, but it was still above average...

The beer in the glass is copper brown and forms a flat, soapy, off-white head, that dissipates very quickly. It smells yeasty and fruity, much like plum, liquorice and dark sugar. Starts very sweet, with lots of caramel, plum, brown sugar and a subtle roasted malt. The middle part is very mild and sweet, very fruity (lots of plum) and dominant malty. Goes into a sugary, fruity-sweet and malty finish!

Bottle. Color dark amber with medium white head. Aroma malt, caramel, sugar. Taste sweet, malt, caramel, fruits.

New label and 7.5% abv, but still Emelisse Dubbel. Dark brown coloured and a bit hazy. Has an off-white head, mostly lasting. Malty sweet aroma, caramel notes. Flavor is mainly sweet. Creamy texture and soft carbonation.

75cl bottle from Emelisse Biershop Cuivrée, col fin beige Arôme est malté caramel, léger fruit noir possible figue et date Aspect de pain d’épices, ,biscuité avec un houblon citronné assez frais en bouquet En bouche, levure, fruité noir, avec pas mal de sucré, grains et pas ma de caramel Le tout présente un profile de houblons nobles qui se conjugue avec un map carapils/munich.. Trouve cette dernière assez unidimensionnelle avec un cara et candi bcp trop en avant.

Bottle shared. Clear brown pour with barely any head. Aroma of chocolate, prunes and raisins. Same aspects in flavour with a sweet finish. Flat carbonation and medium body.

Typical plum and alochol dominated dubbel. Aroma and flavor. Medium light tan head. Opaque brown color. Tried with Dave at the brewery in April, 2012.
