4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark beer with a nice beige head.
Has a deep coffee smell. Also a bit of vanilla in my opinion.
tastes coffee bitter but surprisingly has a little sweet after-taste. The beer has a watery texture but does leave a nice palate behind.
A beer to slowly drink and enjoy for a coffee lover.

Bottle BB Sep 2014. Short review due to socialising. Black with a small brown head that dissipates quickly. Smell is strong coffee and a hint of banana. Body is medium, slightly foamy. Taste - sweet coffee up front, toffee, ash, slightly sharp finish. Good. I really like the rich coffee flavour. This beer would be excellent with a better body and a touch less sharpness. Still very good though.

Intensive chocolate, coffee, roast and malt aroma, less intensive but present some alcohol smell. Pours very dark brown, in glass is opaque and black. Nice forming head lasted till the end. Chocolate, coffee, roast, malt. Some caramel sweetness. A bit oily. Alcohol is nicely hidden, a bit warming up in the neck. Generally, well-made RIS.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark brown almost black with a frothy, creamy, brown , somewhat lasting, lacy head. Smells of deep roasted espresso coffee, heavy malt, dried fruit and a bit of ash. Medium to full oily body with soft carbonation. Tastes of coffee and roasted malt rounded out with a dark chocolate middle and a nice dryness bitter sort of burnt finish. Excellent balance between the mild sweet start and the bitter finish. No hint that it is 9.5abv except for a bit of a lingering alcohol on the finish. Delicious and I can’t wait to try my ageing one in 5-7 years

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Bier&zo. Surprised by how light and clear this is - dark brown pour. Touch of roast on the nose, big coffee, slightly salty. Flavour is coffee, crystal malt, slight roast... Not stouty enough for me. Booze apparent. Lots of coffee to finish.
