Almost pitch black, medium tan head, good lacing. Aroma is of chocolate and roasted malt, strong coffee beans. Taste is medium sweet dark chocolate, roasted coffee, strong coffee beans, dry coffee medium bitter finish and lasting espresso aftertaste, some roasty acidity. Medium+ bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. It is indeed an Espresso. (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Pours opaque black with a decadent brown head, large in stature and prolonged in existence. Aroma is a compound of coffee, dark winter berries, minute iron notes. Taste is coffee bitter, cocoa bitter, slight leather, detectable yet low volumes of molasses/caramelised sugar, slight dark berry acidity. Full body

33cl bottle. Black opaque with a fluffy beige head. Lots of coffee and black chocolate. Sweet and sticky, syrupy, with a soft carbonation. Not really my thing.

Bottle brought back from an Amsterdam trip. Pours black with a nice big thick foamy beige head. Nice coffee aroma. The taste is light spice with lots of coffee as expected. The coffee taste lingers theough the bitter finish. There’s some liquorice in there too. Rich with quite a nice creamy mouthfeel. Good beer.

Well, maybe I had too high expectations about this one to be superb coffee bomb.. It is coffee bomb, but other RIS qualities kinda lags behind. Nice moderate roasted malts, loads of coffee, cocoa, light licorice Mostly sweet with moderate bitterness. Very solid, but not outstanding Smooth, but somewhat too mild.
