Bottle sample. Thanks Maakun for the bottle. Deep brown with medium brownish head. The aroma has notes of vanilla and coffee, lactic with notes of roasted malt. The flavor has notes of coffee and vanilla, light sweetness and medium bitterness, notes of roasted malt and dark chocolate. Moderate carbonation, oily texture, medium-bodied.

Bottle. Pours a very dark, near black, brown color with a tan head that quickly fades into a thin outer ring. Minimal lacing along the side of the glass. Aroma includes roasted coffee, dates, prunes, bittersweet chocolate and resiny shoe polish. Smooth, but syrupy mouth feel. Flavor is sweet initially with a mixture of bittersweet dark chocolate and tobacco followed by a hint of alcohol. Nice medley of flavors. The high ABV is fairly well disguised.

330cc bottle. Pours black with 2 fingers tanned head. Aroma reminds me of coffee candy drops. Coffee, caramel, cherry, plum, licorice. Medium body and alcool well hidden. Sweet with nice bitter and slightly astringent finish without being harsh. Very good

Black with a medium beige head. Choclaty aroma with a small espresso tone, some yeast. Roasty, malty and some espresso in the taste. Palate is a bit too thin, but has a nice mouthfeel. Overall a nice beer but really expect a bigger punch from 10% ABV

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2015 Good but not great body.Nose: Lots of dark roast coffee. Chocolate. Some hops coming through. Little bit of booze too. Most dominant aroma is coffee though.Taste: Again, lots of coffee. Coffee-bitterness. Good hop-bitterness. Little bit boozy again. Would like this beer a lot more if the booze was more hidden. Decent carbonation. Expected more from this!
