The Emilisse Stout is enhance by a blend of fine Italian espresso beans used in the brewing process. It boasts a blend of 90% Arabica and 10% Robusta, which combine to give the Emilisse Espresso Stout an extra-spicy, full-bodied palate.

Fijne crème schuimlaag die snel oplost. Pikzwart. Rooksmaak overheerst eerst, daarna chocolade en koffie bitterheid. Fijn zacht mondgevoel door zachte koolzuur. Smaak blijft net lang genoeg in de mond rondhangen. Zoals ik mijn vrouwen graag zie doen...

Bottle (330 ml). Black with a medium quickly diminishing bubbly brown head and some lacing. Aroma is of espresso, hazelnuts, light smokey notes and hints of caramel. Taste is slightly sweet with heavy espresso presence, light smokey notes, some spiciness and strong coffee bitterness. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Moderately oily mouthfeel. Somewhat harsh bitter coffee finish. Decent RIS, but lack of balance because of the strong coffee presence.

Pitch black 2 finger cream head. A lot of coffee and cream. Very sweet and this is pretty amazing. The coffee is Isanely fresh. Creamy and roasted just dominate with a lot of chocolate.

Robe noire d’encre.Col beige, finement persistant.

Bottle. Pours dark, almost pitch-black. Aroma is that of dark malts and dark fruits, hints of coffee. Dry, roasty, coffee taste. No hints of 10% abv whatsoever. Finish is pleasant, chocolate- and coffee-like. Very drinkable, lacks the typical imperial stout-ish sweetness and silkiness. Good beer, though.
