Chocolate, espresso, milkstout-like sweet roastiness of an aroma. Deep brown in color with a nice tan head. Rich and chocolatey with thin espresso notes and a roasty finish. Notes: Borefts Beer Festival ’10

Burned coffee, some red fruits smell. Very dark brown, like black at the glass. Small head, just a lace, but stays good, and sticks nice to the glass. Tastepalate is a bit simple, but good. Nice burned taste, biterness is ok, not to much. Roasted-sweet that goes to light bitter. Decent.

Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2010. Pours a clear and dark brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, coffee, some chocolate, some licorice and roasted. The flavor is close to the nose with additional hops with grass. The palate is roasted with some bitterness. Overall a beer just above average.

Bottled. A very dark brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and lots of coffee, leading to a dry and roasted coffee finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a pitch black with a small, rough beige head. Hard roast nose with distinct coffee accents. Medium body, very hard roasted malts - well, burned actually - ashes and coffee. Massive malt astringency in the finish. 261010

330ml bottle (Cracked Kettle, Amsterdam)
6 Stale coffee grounds aroma, quite burnt and bitter.
4 Jet black, doesn’t raise a head easily at all.
7 Bitter coffee retronasals. Very dark burnt taste, very dominated by he coffee, but a bit lacking in the beer.
4 Sticky and full palate, carbonation low.
14 Whilst it’s tasty, the beer hides too much behind the coffee. 10% is unbelievable. Not a brilliant beer, but to get this drinkability out of such a strong stout is excellent. Anna liked it a lot (despite the rumours of a 3.2 rating, she claims that it’s now 3.7!)

Black color. Low carbonation, almost no head. Aroma: Chocolate, coffee, spices, some alcohol. Taste: Coffee, wood, bitterness, caramel. Excellent beer. Lot’s of flavor. Well balanced.
