Bue en bouteille de 33cl merci à @maxyeti, couleur noire, pas de mousse effervescence peu présente, bière très café au nez et en bouche, mais en bouche on a l’impression que l’on boit un café mal filtré, trop le goût de marc ce qui casse un peu le truc, fin de bouche acide, agréable mais pas fantastique non plus...

Pitch black color, thin brownish head. Strong coffee aroma, roasted malt, dark fruits. Full body, thick creamy texture, soft carbonation. Very intense coffee taste. Alcohol is nowhere to be found. Medium sweet, light bitter taste. Very long and pleasant finish. Straightforward but nevertheless great imperial stout.

Aroma: coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts. Appearance: dark brown/black, no head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: sweets continue, strong coffee, light bitters, intensifying, somewhat dry in the long finish. Overall: fantastic Imperial Stout, lovely coffee aroma and palate. Bottle at the Old Fountain, Old Street.

Pours opaque darkest brown, 2 finger tan head that clings to the glass. Immediate roasted coffee bean aroma, vanilla, cocoa, cream. Taste is definite espresso coffee, vanilla, charred meat, slight pepperiness. Nice oily, velvet mouthfeel. I particularly like the sweetness in this coffee stout. For me, this elevates it above others of the style.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pitch black color, good offwhite foam. Aromas of coffee, roasted aromas, malt, chocolate : high aroma intensity . Full body & high complexity . Some immediate sweetness, followed by light bitterness - overall on the sweet side. Very enjoyable

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate-heavy chocolate, lighter molasses, espresso, light caramel, and a touch of vanilla. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a two finger tan had that fades to a soapy film. There some soapy rings left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate-heavy chocolate (slightly cocoa-ish) with some molasses and caramel. The finish has light-moderate espresso, light vanilla, and just a hint of burnt flavors. It’s medium-full bodied with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Overall, it’s tasty, but a tad sweet for my coffee Stout preferences.

330 ml bottle into snifter, best before 12/2015. Pours nearly pitch black color with a 1 finger dense khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, molasses, raisin, toast, dark bread, roasted coffee, herbal, light pine, and roasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity of dark/roasted malt, moderate earthy hops, and light coffee notes; with solid strength. Taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, molasses, roasted coffee, light char, toast, dark bread, herbal, pine, and roasted earthiness. Good amount of roast/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, roast, molasses, toast, dark bread, coffee, herbal, pine, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice robustness and complexity of dark/roasted malt, coffee, and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and minimal cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a moderately creamy and lightly slick/chalky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good imperial coffee stout. Good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt, coffee, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle 330ml at home, into a snifter. ABV 9.5%
Dark brown colour on the body with a small beige head sitting on tp, consisting of bubbles. Good retention nevertheless, with minimal lacing left on the glass.
Aroma of cold coffee, liquorice, light roasted malts, faint chocolate.
Nice taste, more chocolate now, liquorice again, coffee, more intense roasted character, a bit spicy on the finish.
Full body, low carbonation that fits good, sticky on the palate.

Not as strong as expected. Flavors of mocha coffee, cream, toast and undertones of tart cherry. Good flavors but not enough of them. Medium bodied.
