Bottle. Just an amazing complex and very well balanced imperial stout. Coffee, roasted, licorice and some dark cholcolate mixed well together in a very good brew from Emelisse. Full body also.

Bottle at home. Dark brown pour with a thin beige head. Notes of roasted coffee, roasted malts, bitter cherries, smoke, subtle tropical fruit and piney hops, chocolate and molasses. Medium body, medium to low carbonation and a roasty chocolatey bitter aftertaste.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Luc. Black with a beige head. Roasted coffee aroma. Taste is quite sweet and almost all coffee-like sensation. No roasted malts or hopbitterness, only coffee roastiness and bitterness. To me it felt and tasted a bit unbalanced with a heavy emphasis on the coffee.

Bottle 0.33l from De Bierkoning Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 19.06.2016. Taste with Ogi. Pour it dark color with small white head. Taste of roasted coffee, smooth texture, nice balanced, some chocolate on the end, medium body, average carbonation. Really nice.

In bottiglia. Colore bruno con lontano riflesso marrone. Ottima schiuma cappuccino, alta e cremosa/pannosa. Olfatto di luppolo, caffè, malto speziato, resina e lievito. Carbonazione soffice, attiva.

On tap at Koht. Pitch black colour. Thin layer of beige froth on top. Creamy notes, lots of coffee, coffee beans in the aroma. Creamy notes, strong coffee at first. Hints of caramel, sour coffee beans in the middle. Creamy notes and coffee in the end. Spicy, slightly alcocholy aftertaste. Lots of coffee. Well balanced, heavy bodiwd, but well drinkable stout.

Bottle. Dark brown with strong white head. Chocolate, vanilla, whiskeyish smokey alcohol. Coffee with cream and a touch of alcohol. Smooth and stout yet somewhat watery. I may be in love.

BOTTLE 33 CL. BB SEP-2016. Pitch black, medium espresso head. Smell sweet - dark molasses, sweet dried prunes, burnt sugar, some earthy hops. Not much coffee. The taste starts just as sweet, but soon balances out, and finishes with a robust grassy bitterness. A sweeter, less roasty kind of impy. And where’s the coffee?
