The Emilisse Stout is enhance by a blend of fine Italian espresso beans used in the brewing process. It boasts a blend of 90% Arabica and 10% Robusta, which combine to give the Emilisse Espresso Stout an extra-spicy, full-bodied palate.

33cl bottle @ home, from Geers Oostakker; dark brownish to black colour with big beige head; nose is coffee, mocha, dark chocolat; taste is dark chocolat, mocha; creamy, oily palate and a coffeebitter aftertaste. Awesome beer!

Aroma: chocolate, chocolate, coffee. Earthy background. Pours pitch black with big, strong tan head. Complex taste, mix of coffee, roastiness, chocolate. Bitter finish, low carbonation. In my bottle there was some oxidation which was not so pleasant. Besides that - excellent stout.

Muestra marrón oscuro con reflejos granates, media cabeza de espuma con buena retención; aromas a café, malta tostada, ciruelas pasas y frutos secos; en boca entrada potente y maltosa con ligero amargor, notas a café torrefacto, pos gusto largo y algo amargo, siguen notas a madera quemada; buen cuerpo con carbónico medio en una stout un tanto descompensada y más amarga de lo necesario.

Gorgeous Dutch coffee stout with the beans used to striking effect. Appearance: coffee-bean brown with a cappuccino head. Soft, rounded aroma - cafe creme, milky chocolate, very faint licorice root - nothing to really excite as yet. Comes alive on the tongue. Thick, creamy body, perfect for the style. Starts off smooth and silky at the front of the palate but opens up with a lovely, rich burst of coffee/hop bitterness. Just beautiful. Perfect level of residual sugars for my taste. This is how I like my coffee and my stouts. (330ml bottle from Leura Cellars)

Shared bottle in De Bierboom (Brugge) on 6th Feb 2015. Cheers whoever brought this. Deep, dark brown body with a beige, thinning top. Coffee notes rule the whole brew with the flavour overpowering all the other ingredients and tastes/aromas. I liked the creamy, smooth body and the flavours, but if coffee is not your thing, leave this alone (the name gives away the flavours anyway).
