From a 23/11/2015. Pours the darkest brown with a biggish tan head. Has a pleasanr chocolate and coffee aroma. The flavour is very bold and intense, with masses of expresso and sweet and bitter, creamy chocolate, with some vanilla and a touch of spice in the background . There a light to medium roasty bitterness at the end which balances things out very nicely. The palate is really creamy and the carbonation soft. A truly wonderful coffee stout.

dark brown colour, minimal beige-is off-white head; aroma and taste is dominated by coffee with herbal liqueur and woody notes, as well as some dried fruits and spicy alcohol (and, as it is warming, some syrupy sweetness is also appearing in the taste); good!

Flasche (33 cl) vom Bierzwerg. - Pechschwarz, dunkelbeigefarbener kurzlebiger Schaum.

Bottle 33cl. Black with a beige creamy head. Nice aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Rich body, full taste of tar, coffee and again this finishing touch of dark chocolate accomplished with a perfect bitter finish. Very nice beer.

Bottle: 9,5% ABV. Dark body, medium tall creamy head. Aroma has strong espresso flavours and some sugary notes. Sweet taste with clean roasty espresso. Very straightforward coffee stout, no subtlety. Similar to Speedway and other incredibly overrated coffee stouts. I don’t know why people are nuts about big coffee stouts. Having a taste of coffee from added coffee does not equal being a complex and masterfully crafted beer.

Black colour, with a big brown head that lasts all the while, sticks to the glass and leaves a great lace. Taste of coffee beans, with some notes of chocolate and dark fruits. Medium body, thick and creamy palate with a hint of brandy flavour. Taste is similar to smell: coffee beans, chocolate, fruits, alcohol notes. Bitter finish.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2015 Coffee, roasty, chocolate, not much bitterness and a long deep espresso finish. Simple in one direction but well executed. Could easily drink again and again

Average brownish creamy head with very good retention. Foggy reddish dark brown colour through the light, almost black appearace. Black cocoa, prune, toasted, coffe aroma with vanilla hints. Taste is roasted, dry and bitter, black coffe and roasted dark fruits, difficult to taste because of the big creaminess. Slight diacetyl hints. Very creamy, medium oily palate with dry black coffee bitterness aftertaste. A really good coffe stout, very creamy.
