Aroma’s of coffee, dark chocolate and some laurel. Light brown, lightly frotty foam. A very darkbrown color. A complex but well-balanced beer with sweet and bitter taste that balances well. While in the main taste sweet wins, in the aftertaste it is bitter that wins. A very full and rich body great beer

Bottle from Hennie Berendsen. Pours very dark, almost black with creamy light brown foam. Aroma of chocolate, malts and dark coffee. Taste dark coffee, roast and dark chocolate. Sweet in the beginning and bitter at the end. Full and creamy body. My favorite stout at the moment.

Oh, killer brew. Pours like dark coffee with high aromatics. Smells of roasted coffee beans and cocoa. Medium full nectar with excellent carbonation. This is like chewing on a chocolate bar consisting of 90% cocoa. Only mildly sweet with huge roasted malt essence and bittered well. Supreme balance on this one.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 nearbeer (3048) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 1, 2010
300 ml. Notched 2010, Lot A. Black with a lasting ring of bubbles. Aroma is cookie with espresso and cream. The flavor is a similar blend but less sweet, with the espresso ruling. Mixed berry flavors also add a nice note. Medium-heavy body is smooth, slick and well-balanced by the dark roasts. Nicely disguised 10%, and a great dessert.
