Emelisse is great in tuning up ordinary beer styles. This bock is a bit different from other bocks, all ingredients are a little more tasty and special. Nice.

worldbeertaste (1546) - AUSTRIA - DEC 1, 2013
Deep reddish brown with a thin, tan, frothy, lacy, mostly lasting head. Sweet smell of toasted grain, lots of malt, caramel and an earthy tone with a ting of sourness. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Tastes nutty sweet with burnt caramel and chocolate notes and finishes with a sour sweet overcooked toffee end. A excellent balance of sweet and sourness. Smooth to drink

Bottle from Bierkoning. Clear dark red pour with thin tan foam. Aroma is very toasty, toasted grain really put forward with rich caramelized malt notes following. Taste is sweeter, rich burnt caramel, light toasted grain, a hint of raisin bread. Palate is med-full and aggressively carbed but leaves a long smooth lingering finish. Very robust bock, without ever being over the top. Yum
