Bottle from Bierkoning at home. Hazy brown pour with a medium beige head and a ton of lumpy sediment in the bottom. Aroma of dark fruits, raisins, bread, malt and light chocolate. Flavour contains roasted malts, slight tart fruit, coffee, chocolate, caramel and nuts. The finish is a lingering tartness and bitterness not as nice as the initial flavour. Low carbonation and a medium body.

Bottle - 330ml. Darl brown body with a thin beige foamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with plummy/vineous hints. Its robust taste carries anise and fruity notes. Ends with a decent bittersweet finish. Good Bock.

Note: 5/10

Bottle @ home shared with my dad. Dark brown colored brew with a ruby red glow coming through, big light beige head that lasts for quite awhile and leaves a nice lacing in the glass. Smell malts, roasted malts, coffee, earth, slightly chocolate hints. Taste coffee, roasted malts, some sweet-bitter hints. Average carbo, medium body.

Pours brick orange to brown with a light beige head. Heavily toasty aroma. Bready, lightly nutty and quite fruity (melon, yellow fruits, apricot) lager. There is a slightly tart fruitiness to it that refreshes atop the toasted malts and cuts through the moderate residual sugars. A gentle hint of leafy/spicy hops close it all, but remain very timid in bitterness. Light bodied and with just a touch of alcohol, it’s no show-stopper, but is a more than decent interpretation.
