Bottle. Black pour with a tanned head. Aroma of coffee and nuts. The Laphroaigh comes later in the aroma, revealed by it’s peat. Flavour has dark chocolate bitterness and some alcoholic whisky flavours. Really nice how the Laphroaigh gave it’s notes to this beer. 11% ABV was noteable but not disturbing. Did gave me a headache next day.

On tap at The Wildeemaan, Amsterdam, Netherlands on Saturday 01.10.11 Really roasty, pitch black with a light beige head. This is rich and very full in the mouth, roasty and with a nice bitterness. The hops show, it is soft in the mouth A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle at Borefts 2011. Weak roasted aroma. Black colour. Very small light brown head. The flavour is very roasted with a bit of roast barley bitterness. Good creamy mouthfeel. Late alcohol bite.

Bottled. The aroma has roast, chocolate. Is not very strong. Black coloured beer with a beautifull, creamy beige head. The taste is sweet, has chocolate, whisky, some sweet whisky. Definately not too much Laphroaig. There is some medicin, but all quite well balanced. Lingering chocolate bitterness with some whisky. Very nice.
