Doskonaly imperialny stout. Czuc aromat whisky z daktylami i innymi suszonymi owocami. Finisz dlugi, przyjemnie alkoholowo rozgrzewajacy. Piwo ciezkie i syte geste smoliste i piekielnie wytrawne. Lepsza moim zdaniem ta wersja od podstawowej.

Bottle from brewery. Dark brown color with almost no head. Aroma of plums, whiskey, wood, earthy notes. Taste, sweet, chocolate, coffee, licorice, caramel, syrup, whiskey, smoked wood. Coffee bitter, peated finish. Very nice, even better than not peated version.

Wonderful smoky aroma, coffee-like and slightly sludgy appearance, not too dark colour. Great flavour with a long dark smoky aftertaste. Not offensively smoky, though. Really nice stout.

Bottle @ home. Aroma is earthy peat, slight iodine and quite some roasty malt. Flavour is deep peaty liquorice bitterness, big roast, molasses, smoke, ash and asphalt. Great balance. Awesome.

Pitch black, opaque color, brown head. Smell peat, coffee, wood and whisky. Taste smoke, peat, coffee and whisky again. Medium carbonation, medium body.

18/I/13 - on tap @ Emelisse brewery and restaurant - BB: n/a - (not the white label version, confirmed by the brewer himself) (2013-31)

Clear dark purple brown beer, creamy solid beige to brown head, very stable, adhesive. Aroma: (first cold, straight from the tap) very hoppy, grassy, on warming up a bit dusty, cocoa powder, fruity esters. MF: soft carbon, full body, smooth creamy texture. Taste: chocolate, more chocolate, mocha, whipped cream, cocoa powder.little sweet, sugary, bitter hops, bit grassy. Aftertaste: dark chocolate, mocha, bitter hops, some vanilla, bit smoky, ashes, dry hoppy ending with still some fruity notes.

Black beer with a small mocca colored head. Smell is faint with some malty porter scents, smokey, with a light whisky aroma. But the taste is packed with flavor. After some sips the whisky really starts to come through. It has a malty base with some creamy chocolate, smokiness and light hoppiness. Quickly after it you get the whisky aroma followed with a robust roasted peaty bitter and a dry finish with the peat lingering a little bit. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy. This is one heck of a good balanced flavor packed porter/stout beer. The added peated whisky really brings something special to it. Way better then their regular IRS in my book :D

Pours pitch black, nice head. This brew is truly full of peat smoke. Alcohol sticks it to your nose like whiskey. Taste is incredibly peaty as well, peat smoke from the beginning to the end. Taste lingers for long. Very strong taste, actually quite sweet body, has also decent amount of hops and herbs. Really massive über-drink.

Countbeer (4676) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 3, 2011
Bottle @ BBF’11: Small light brown creme head on top of a black black beer. Smell smoke, peat, coal. Taste is a soft mix of roasted malts, peat, tar, hints of coffee, bitter and spices. Well balanced. Good bitter coffee aftertaste. Low carbo, soft silky mouthfeel, full body and a creamy light sticky texture. Good brew!

Bottle @ BBF2011. Black pour, tan head. Aroma of peat, iodine, roasted malts, chocolate and ash. Flavor is slightly bitter, smooth, chocolate, coffee, roasted and very nice. Smooth, thick texture.
