Imperial stout nera come la notte, con poca schiuma. Aroma di caffè e cacao amaro, gusto intenso e maltoso, tostato e cremoso. Rotonda e corposa, piuttosto classica e godibilissima.

Pours pitch dark with tan head. Aroma has hints of chocolate, coffee and roasted. Aftertaste is a bit sour wich I didn’t expect. I had better imperial stouts than this.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with a fading tan head. Aroma of prunes, dates, huts, caramel and a touch of coffee. Body is on the light side, almost no carbonation. Hot, coffee-laden finish with an aftertaste of charcoal.

Aroma of charcoal and concrete. Pitch black appearance with no foam. Overwhelming chocolate and fudge flavor with nothing else to it. Overall, extremely thick and full bodied. Chocolate is really overbearing for me. I’d give this a B- rating.

(bottle, 33cl, 9.8% abv) Black colour with a brown and short foamy head. Roasty malty aroma with notes of anise, marzipan and dark chocolate, accompanied by a subtle fruity touch of cherries, plums and hints of alcohol. Sweet and roasty bitter flavour, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Roasted and a bit burnt malt-character with notes of dark chocolate, liquorice and a subtle, almost vinous touch of dried fruits; moderately sweet and roasty bitter finish with overly present notes of alcohol. Complex but not very balanced Imp. Stout. 03.III.13

0,33l bottle from Sörspecialista, Budapest. Clear, reddish black color with small, light brown head. Alcohol, caramel and sweet odor. Delicious, alcohol, caramel and roasted malt aroma. Some spice and spruce hoppy flavours appears too. Medium bitter taste. Unbelivable creamy texture, full body and soft carbonation. Wooden cask flavours also appears, especially in the aftertaste. Is this beer aged with oak chips? Maybe... Malty and alcoholly finish. Delicious, alcoholly and extramely creamy beer.

Color is black with dark ruby reflexes. Head is beige fades quite fast. Nice aroma of roast, caramel and sherry. Taste is the same additionally strong coffee notes. Texture is really oily and thick. Very long roasty-bitterness finish. Absolutely fantastic RIS!

Almost looked flat when I was pouring it, but eventually a 1 finger tan head emerged after the beer settled, slowly rising from the depths of hell. Which is exactly where I’m headed pretty soon. Apparently, this is oak aged, but not bourbon barrel aged which makes for a nice change of pace. Maybe. Lets see. Pretty thin looking pour, but a deep inhale reveals aromas of booze, raisins, maybe a little oak, dark fruit. First sip confirms that this beer is not very good. Way too much fruit going on here. Not enough tar and ash. Too sweet. Not enough cock. Meh. No wonder this is a bargain priced oak aged impy stout. Because its fucking garbage. Not sure if I can finish this one. Fuck. I feel betrayed.

Bottle. This is a nice sour impy which is a bit thin for my taste. Could use more ommph in the roasting dept as well.
