Vera nice Russian Imperial Stout.

Smells quite malty. In taste, this beer is strong in terms of coffee and chocolate. A mocha coloured head. Delicious.

Pours an oily mahogany color with a small head, leaving back only a thin lacing at the edges. Nose is full of bitter chocolate with coffee and burned caramel, along with a sweet, well integrated alcohol note. The taste is centered around dark chocolate, which is earthy at first, and then turns sweeter immediately, due to a slick coffee bitterness with strong mousse-au-chocolate and molasse impact. This brew is incredibly creamy and smooth, which comes along with a warm alcoholic peak, wrapped up in sweeter cocoa. Has an intriguing complexity, between sweet and bitter flavors, between creamy chocolate and earthy, bitter coffee. Finishes bitter, while cream still remains noteable.

330 ml bottle purchased at Crooked Stave in The Source and drank at home. Black appearance with a small, thin, lingering brown head and minimal lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, espresso, vanilla, molasses, dark fruits, light earthy notes and a touch of wine. Similar flavor, rich, malty and complex with moderate sweetness, light bitterness and a vinous finish. Full bodied, smooth and creamy on the palate with soft carbonation. Overall, this beer makes for a nice sipper and the alcohol is hidden quite well.
