Bottle from Terre de Boissons, Coquelles, France. A black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Rich, roasty, malty, coffee aroma. Taste is similar, rich, sweet, roasty, malty, coffee, hint of chocolate and licquorice. An excellent imperial stout.

Strong-medium aroma with licorice, salty licorice and some of chocolate and malts. Black-brown color with medium brown-white head. Strong taste with licorice, salty licorice, chocolate, coffee and malts in a bit of roasted fashion. A hint of some berries. Wide taste spectrum and long, malty and liqueur type aftertaste. Thick palate with light carbonation.

Lore (968) - Budapest, HUNGARY - FEB 28, 2014
deep dark brown colour, half inch creamy brown head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of chocolate, some coffee, dried berries, liqueur and alcoholic notes; taste of intensively roasted coffee and malts, liqueur, and some berries again; neverending roasted bitter aftertaste (based on the aroma, I expected something more sweet); excellent imperial stout

Pours black, with brown head, dense. Bit sour, coffee & roast, not very slick. Rather flat. Very drinkable.

Bottle at home. Pours black with a long lasting tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and hops. Roasted taste of malts, coffee, dark chocolate and bitter hoppy aftertaste. Not bad, but has some sharp edges in the taste.

Darky dark pour with little to no head. Malt and weird wet dog smell which i am not used to with stouts. And some distant chocolate/coffee aroma. Wow, absolutely fantastic strong bitter coffee taste. Red fruits to accompany that with nice bitter fininsh. Really thick mouthfeel with low carbonation. Amazing Imperial stout. And I?m not just saying that because I?m dutch myself. Deserves high ratings.

czar (4105) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 7, 2014
pours very dark brown with a nice beige head, some retention and nice lacing. roasted and smoked chocolate malts, brown sugar, buckwheat honey, spices - licorice, bold resin/pine, citrus, booze, burnt caramel, coffee - roasted acidity, molasses - sweet stuff, but also raisins and some other dried oxidized dark fruits, berries for instance, slightly perfumey - liquor-like. moderate carbonation, medium body - oily, sweet yet assertive bitter coffee-piney finish. sweet, i guess cloying, relatively complex and tasty. i tend to much appreciate ris coming from netherlands and its relative neighbour, denmark.
