W szkle tworzy się ładna, brązowa, drobno pęcherzykowa piana. Barwa czarna z brązowymi refleksami. Aromat to przede wszystkim kakao, gorzka czekolada, toffi i pumpernikiel. Są też nuty likierowe, śliwkowe, czereśniowe. W smaku lekka czekoladowa słodycz, spora paloność, trufle, wanilia i likier wiśniowy kontrowane sporą goryczą, o ziołowo-apteczno-alkoholowym profilu.

Very nice. Lots of coffee in this. Some dark chocolate and some sharp roast. Bitter finish. Light syrupy and oily texture. Pours black without much head or lacing. Good stuff. Tap at Pizzeria Paradiso Georgetown.

Pours black with a small head. Aroma: roasted malt, lactose, caramel, a slight touch of licqour. Taste: dark malts, espresso without sugar, hoppy bitterness at the finish, mixed with a touch of sweetness. Medium thick beer. 11% ABV well hidden. Too easy drinkable for me as a Russian Imperial Stout. A pretty good beer, but the Russian Imperial Stout style has more to offer.

Draught at GBBF 2012. Poured black, with a very small amount of tan head. Aroma of rich coffee, port, leather, roast malt and vanilla. Super smooth, rich mouthfeel. Complex flavours, of dark berries, black cherries, molasses, dark rum and slight smoke. Finish was warming booze, ash, burnt malt, espresso and some bitter hop.

Bottle from the De Hopduvel, Gent, Belgium. Imperial Russian Stout is my current favorite type of beer. Pours black with a brown head. This beer is not aged in barrels but one of the thing that I really liked is, it doesn’t leave a heavy coffee taste/flavour in your mouth. Really loved it! Very successful!

Bottle, 330 ml from Pivoljub, Ljubljana. Pours black with brown head. Roasted, chocolate aroma. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, liquorice flavor. Sweet. Not much carbonation. Drinkable considering the abv.
