Bottle. The milkshake head on this thing made it look like a dessert, and I wasn’t disappointed! Thick, milky, creamy, and rich with dark chocolate, this is a dreamy, warming beer, and an excellent way to cap the evening during this downpour that’s knocked out my satellite reception. Could be a new favorite (except it’s a little pricey here). Exceptional.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2013 (Bottled) Ohhh fuck I need a drink right now !!! Imperial Stouts are usually seductive but even so this is really hitin’ it ... OHH fuck me im staring to feel liberated even..... the aroma is fumes with blankets of smooth silky chocolate ..roast burnt suggestions ..maybe raisins too i dont even care ...DARK and exciting!!!
Sipin’ this Imperial is fucking good ....great complexity with all smooth quintessential flavours and texture you expect from this kinda thing...chocolate..coffee.nuts.caramel ..roast bitterness but that palate is so thick, creamy and rich that I love it and am giving much love with the numbers . What an awesome beer!!!

Boom boom; out go the lights! This is one serious beer. Poured at a good temperature with an medium size, tan, foamy, frothy, sudsy head with brown highlights and a little lace. Aroma is a little mild and has malt, coffee, cocoa, roasty, dark ripe fruit, molasses. Flavor’s like nose, Bitter, sweet, and mild tang are very well balaanced and marry in harmony with just the right body and carbonaton. Finish is like flavor, of average length, and has a little boozy warmth. Understated greatness.

From bottle. A rich aroma with alcohol, raisins and chocolate. The foam is weak and looks pink. The appearance is darkbrown-black. The main taste has a firm bitterness and even som more sweet. In the aftertaste the sweets stays and the bitter grows. This beer has lots of body. A great beer!

0,75 l botle at the Deltabier festival march 2010. Due to the roasted malts this beer has a very explicit dark coffee taste. Low carbon and nice black colour Good balanced.

Another great beer from this brewery. Pours near black with an oak-brown foam. Chocolate and coffee dominate, but with hints of licorice. The high alcohol is surprisingly disguised.

300 ml. Opaque black with a lasting thin film of cream. Aroma of espresso with cream, cookie dough, berries, and cocoa. Heavy body is just right: not too sticky, not too thin; smooth as silk; and dangerously chuggable with a barely noticeable 11% abv! Beautiful soapy lacing. Flavor is an excellent blend of espresso, Oreo cookie, bread dough, dark fruit, tart berry, sour cream, cured tobacco, prickly green herb, and slight char.

Strong, oily aroma has roast coffee, molasses and miso components. It pours a deep, opaque sable just a whisker above black with a thick, fizzy and rather persistent light tan head. Rich, mouth-filling flavor has firm coffee, molasses, unsweet chocolate and nutty tones with hoppy and miso underpinnings, as well as quite an alcohol bite. Texture is smooth and thick, but tingly and lively as well, quite satisfying.

One of my favorite beers. Heavy yet smooth. An explosion of tastes. Syrupy, smokey, dark chocolate, roasted, thick, bitter, burned crème brulée, dark coffee. Wow. Gimme some more!

Malty aroma with hint of dates and raisins. Some alcohol in the aroma. Lots of dark malty goodness wafts up from the creamy, dark tan head. Pitch black color. Creamy, with roast malt bitterness balancing the malt sweetness. Lingering chocolate malt astringency. Can taste what is almost like vanilla, but not quite. Not any sign of alcohol in the flavor. Just rich, sweet malt and lots of roast. Easy drinking RIS. Probably too easy drinking. This beer could get you in trouble quickly. I think I want to get in to trouble, so I’m pouring another bottle...
