2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jerohen (1875) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - MAY 24, 2013
Bottled from biernavigatie.nl. Very dark brown colored, initially large but dying brown head. Nice nose of roasted malts, lactic notes, some coffee. Initially sweet flavor, later on the roasted malts take over resulting in a more bitter flavor. Oatmeal, lactose, and quite some iron. Lasting roasted and bitter finish. I like the style in general, but this one seems a little bit out of balance because of the overload of roasted malts.
