Draught at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam, as Hazelnotenbock
Black color, creamy head. The color is dark, almost black. There is some oxidized aroma and flavor of caramel, with relatively low bitterness, light residual sweetness, and no trace of hazelnut.

Bottled 330ml Tnx Edo. Dark ruby color, good creamy beige head. Aroma has some hazelnut, caramel, grain and hints of vegetables and/or wood. Medium-bodied. Similar vegetably/woody flavors, I think it is hazelnut in its "raw" form. Some caramel. Certainly "hazelnoot" overrides here too much.

Bottle. Murky brown color. Hazelnuts, caramel and earthy notes in the aroma. Nutty, earthy caramelly, soft bittersweet flavor. Not really my taste.

Thanks to bierkoning for that one. Bottle looks interesting. Beer in the glass brownish, nice head. Starts strong, fine malty spicy, intense note of nuts. Finish a bit unbalanced, spicy and woody. Nice one.

Borresteijn (4402) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 6, 2012
33cl Bottle from Mitra Rokin. Dark brown colour with a tiny red hue, off-white creamy head. Aroma is very earthy, hazelnut shells, fibres, sweet dark malts, tiny hint of chocolate. Flavour is medium-sweet, very earthy again, like drinking dry earth, nutshells, hazelnut, chocolate, cocoa, hint of dark fruits, light bitter finish. Medium-bodied at best, soft mouthfeel.

Clear dark brown beer, big beige to brown head, bit stable, non adhesive. Aroma: hoppy and fruity, alcohol, some ripe banana, bit earthy. MF: ok carbon, full body, creamy texture. Taste: sweet and nutty, caramel, chocolate, bit sugary, syrup, alcohol, hint of vanilla, more chocolate, little bitter. Aftertaste: sweet, caramel, roasted nuts, earthy, some banana peel.

Countbeer (4035) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 20, 2012
Bottle: Medium to bigger but lively head changes quick into a smaller head that is still lively and changes slowly into a lacing which has more sticking on the glass than in the middle. Smell sharp gass, caramel, nutty, hint of chocolate, light benzine, some very light hints of cleaner, some light sticky sweetness like the caramel and chocolate sweets and some dust. Taste is big hazulnut taste with some cacoa notes, chocolate malts, nutty dust and yeast, chalk, light bitter, lighter sweetness, some malty bittersweets and chocolate (liquorice) wood ish light coal notes. Aftertaste is short and thin with just some hints of chocolate malts, nuts and grassy floral notes. Low to meeium carbo, soft mouthfeel, mediumm body and a light watery texture. Fun to see something different like this. Not even a bad beer but just a lot of hazulnuts and chocolate (nice as a chocolate paste reminder...)
