Aroma is subtle, sweet malts plus a little alcohol and fishy undertones. Head didn’t last at all. Taste is a subtle mix of chocolate and coffee malts, a hint of alcohol and medium, earthy, bitterness. Great mouthfeel thanks to its big body. A nice beer.

Nice dark malts, malty sourness, good sweet finish... great porter... but why not a stout?

olio (7426) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 21, 2014
33 cl bottle.
Pours black color with a small off-white head. Roasted malts and caramel on the nose, faint cocoa and coffee with distant wooden and smoky notes. Malty, slightly fruity, I can almost taste some tar here, smoked ham, caramel and dark chocolate, maybe some distant spices and espresso also. Bitter malty palate, lingering velvety chocolate aftertaste. Balanced, flavorful brew with a full body. Nice.

Pours hazy dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted, chocolate and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long chocolate finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle 330 m at home, poured into a snifter. ABV 7% Deep brown colour on the body, with a good sized, growning bown head, creamy and thick. Very good retention. Aroma of light roasted malts, some coffee, red fruits. Taste is fruity, red stewed fruits in there, light coffee amd roasted malts on the finish, bitter enough, oats, ripe pears. Medium thin body, carbonation on good levels, dry and somewhat sticky palate. Overall a quite nice porter, surely it makes you go back for another sip.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate head. Aromas of dark fruit jam, roasted barley, and light cocoa. Flavors of cocoa, bitter hops, and light nuts with hints of dark fruit/figs. Dry bitter finish. Avery nice porter.

Modest aroma, taste of roughly roasted malt. Notes of moccha and coffee. Quite smooth, not agressive. Nice beer.

Thanks bierkoning! Dark brown color, small steady beige head. Toasted and also slightly fruity aroma with hints of licorice and barnyard. Medium-bodied. Smooth and "clean" mouthfeel. Roasted with pleasant espresso flavors and light hoppyness. Nicely balanced strong porter.

Emelisse’s ’normal’ porter. I typically like the straightforward beers of craft brewers better than all those specials and one offs. I mean what’s not to like about a solid rich tasting porter? This confirms that feeling, with its mocha malts and herbal hop profile. Full and rounded body yet not too thick and pleasantly moderate in alcohol. Nice dry developed. Really well made, solid base. No wonder this brewer can also make his specials and one offs taste amazing. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bičre)

At Borefts Beer Festival 2013. Dark brown with a lasting tan head. Malty aroma with a light roasted character. Dry, roasted flavour with yeasty notes and a touch of diacetyl.
