0,33l fles gedeeld op proeverij bij Bryan. Zwart troebel bier, minimaal fijn bruin schuim. De geur doet denken aan het openlucht museum. Rook en teer overheersen. De smaak is volbitter en een tikje wrang. Gebrande mout en laurier. Redelijk volle body. Extreem biertje lekker met de vis bedankt Bryan.

The aroma is dominated by peaty smoke. Texture is rich and silky. Generally smokey and bitter. There’s some caramelised malts too. Hops come through in the finish but are quickly replaced by a heavy smokey lingering aftertaste.

(bottle) pours black in colour with a frothy beige head. aroma of smoked ham, light toasted malt, light strawberries, herbal hops and a hint of peat smoke. flavour is mostly the same, with lots of ash and peat smoke, seared mushrooms, a light sweetness and a hint of alcohol in the finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

33cl. Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Aroma smoke, citrus, choco, sweet dark fruits. Taste smoky bitter, some choco sweets. Mouthfeel bit oily, dry. This nice the smoke ads something to the bitter and is not overwhelming.

Bottle in the brewery during the RBESG 2013 weekend. Poured a deep mahogany with a bubbly tan head. The aroma is hugely smokey and nothing else! The flavour is medium to strong bitter with loads of smoke, liqourice and roasted malt on the slightly watery palate. One of the very best smoked porters I’ve had.

RBESG 2013. Bottle at the brewery. Black beer with a nice beige/brownish head. Smoked aroma, malty, dark chocolate, peat, vanilla, licorice, some caramel, some ash. Smoked flavor, ash, soot, dark chocolate. The smoke is a bit too much, it kinda godes the rest of the beer.
