Aroma is smoky with leather and some tar – actually really close to new leather shoes. Flavour is rather strong on smoke. Also some woody and leathery notes with tar. A bit too thin, but nice anyway.

Bottled. Deep murky coppery brown with basically no head. Aroma is smoked wet wood, rar, some roasted malts, mild raisins and plummy notes as well. Flavour is quite big on the tar, mild roasted malts, some slight burnt wet wooden notes as well as some slight toffee and raisins.

4/09/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 6/13 (2011-432)

Very dark brown to almost black beer, beige creamy head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet mocha, wood tones, smoke, caramel, peppery spiciness. MF: soft carbon, medium body, very creamy texture. Taste: caramel and mocha, little sour, wood notes, then smoke and ashes. Aftertaste: alcohol lingering, citric sour, bitter coffee touches, hop dry ending, bit dusty, ashes.

(Bottled, rated 2011-07-07) Very dark brown with hardly any head. Strong aroma with lots of smoke, tarry rope, some dark fruit. Quite burned-malty flavor with sweetish caramel, some tar, not that much smokiness. Slightly thin and carbonated for the style, although partly saved by malt sweetness. Flavor is not up to par with the great aroma.

Very black, no light goes though. Tiny head. Stinging malt smell which to me is a porter sign. Smells smoky as well. Sweet, smoky and not quite as hoppy as many porters tend to be. Very good, and I especially want to mention who nice is the mouth feeling. Smooth, silky and still has a fizz.

Dark almost opaque black color, small off-white head. Very intensive peat aroma; probably the most peatiest I’ve ever tasted, some licorice too. Medium-bodied. Peaty flavor too, also some toasted malts, perhaps some caramel too. Tobacco. Quite unique porter in its peatyness.
