Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy orangey color, medium sized white head that leaves fair lacing. Smell malts and a bit buttery hops. Taste malts, some hops, some bitter, lightly smoke. A bit creamy texture, low to medium body and carbonation.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2013 Bottle. Aroma of rustic pine and herb hops. Some tangerine. Backed by a pleasant toasted cracker rye presence. Taste is pleasant toffee. Candy. Rye. Nice dose of tangerine and Melon. Works well together. Fruity. Moderately bitter. Nice rustic rye character and pine dry things out. Not much going on in the smoke department. Good.

Bottle from De Molen online shop. Bold amber body with plenty of puffed up tan head. Nose is hoppy, but also roasty and malty. Well-balanced. Taste is plenty of hops, some fruits and then spices in the bitter finish. Texture is mucho creamy. Good one!

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Pour carefully, there is (oddly enough for this style) quite some sediment in the bottle. Is is slightly hazy amber, with a modest clear white head. Little more carbonation than normal for an IPA. The Dutch like some bubbles in their beer, but they are quite fine. Nose is modest. Some earth tones, small hints bacon. Taste follows this, with also rye sourness. Smoked malts are there, but not aggressive. Mildly bitter finish. All flavours are well balanced and restrained. With the also modest ABV (6,2%) a very tasty and sessionable beer, which you might not expect from a smoked rye IPA. Very nice.

Bottle provided by Borrestein. Thanks man. Pours cloudy orange with a dense white head. The aroma is malty and fruity hoppy with light smoked notes. The flavor is citrus and malt and the smoke is most profound in the finish giving it a nice edge. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
