Bottle. Cloudy amber beer with a strong lightly brown head. The aroma is lightly hopped with some maltiness. The flavour has maltiness and roasted'ness with a deeply hopped body and vinous finish. Overall a nice strongly hopped IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Notes from 03.11.2013. Pours murky orange with big beige head. Grapefruit, lemon, orange with background ester fruitness and caramel sweetness. Pleasant alcohole note. Well balanced between high bitterness, fruitness and malt sweetness. Very good beer.

Pours murky golden with a beige creamy but thin head. Steely sweetness, not terribly floral or hoppy nose but masks the ABV well. Flash of hops initially, but nothing terribly bittered of juicy - just very sweet. Oily sweetness throughout, not grating hoppiness as I expected and crunching malt sweetness on the finish. Fairly syruppy, honeyied kinda gloop not in the mouthfeel as such but the overall linger spirals away with that richness. Not terrible, especially for 10% but no hop burn in sight.

Lekker

Emelisse TIPA 10% @ Antwerps Bierhuyske. Hoppy nose full of (tropical) fruits. Taste surprisingly balanced given that they call it a triple IPA: excellente combination of fruity and bitter, but not over the top. Lots of grapefruit. Pleasant creamy mouthfeel. Very good beer, a league ahead of the Emelisse DIPA.

Pours a lovely dark orange/copper with a small beige head. Aroma of tropical fruits, caramel, big hops notes. Flavour is sweet malts, fruits. Nice bitter aftertaste. Thick body. This is a great IPA, I loved every sip.
