Draft at Toronado SF June 2013 notes. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel and pale malts, candied orange citrus, grapefruit and floral hops, some toasted malts. Some alcohol shows up in the finish. Full bodied, medium carbonation.Comes off more like a barleywine. More sweetness, not enough bitterness for a DIPA in my opinion.

Pours a cloudy burnt orange without much head. Heavily citrus based with an aftertaste that does not dissipate quickly. Excellent IPA.

Dark orange, amber, very misty with yellow, beige head. Nose: very intense nose, almost concentrated. very hoppy, very fruity (peaches, mango, grapefruit). full, intense flavor. Taste: fruity, yeast, alcohol, thick sugary malts, some stick caramalish something. The beer gives a real kick in the behind, just when you think are done with it. Finish has a bitter character, masks an initial part of the alcohol, could be treacherous. Bit too much to be a perfect drinkable IPA? Anyway, this one does not go down that easy. Grrrrrreat beer!!!

Bottle. Aroma: hops, malt, caramel, honey. Taste: very sweet, malty taste, caramel, peaches, moderate bitter hops which appear at the end. Pretty strange brew, but somehow it is succeeds. Drinking this one give you a glowing feeling. Heavy beer, ideal for cold winter nights. Excellent, but way of the mainstream, so probably not for everyone.

Bottle, NS tasting. Clear amber pour with white head. Aroma is hoppy, boozy and malty fruits, alcohol. Taste is hoppy, I like the hoppy profile, but I also get a lot of sweet sticky caramel and boozy malt flavors Iím much less of a fan of. Palate is rich and full, med carbonation. Itís OK, but far from those american triple IPAs.

I thought this was a bit of a mixed bag of things, Sour and sweet, but also under-carbonated. Finish is more to dry than not and this sparks up the edges of the back of the tongue. Not spectacular but itís not a disaster.

Clear amber color with durable, white foam which lacing glass. Nice, intense aroma. Mix of hops, tropical fruits like mango, maracuja, oranges with resins and pines. Taste is filled by bitterness nicely balanced with sweetness. Hoppy liqueur. Flavours of resins, hops, pines, tropical fruits. Alcohol unfortunately perceptible. Full body with medium/low carbonation. Warming finish. Nice, strong example of IIPA.

Sweet tropical fruits, and plenty of alcohol. Some sticky starchy malts too. Sweet palate, decent carbonation. Sticky heavy sugary malts. Characterless bitter hops add nothing but confusion. Iím obliged to say itís a sweet boozy mess. Finish has starchiness, bitterness, and some aromatic hops that to be honest Iím not interested any more, the malty mess has turned me off.

Bottle. Aroma is quite hoppy, orange, fruity. Light resin. Clear amber colour. Taste ish hoppy right from beginning, light caramel background. Citrusy, orange peel. Long dry zesty finish.
