Pours a sandy amber into the glass, with a diminishing frothy head that leaves light soap lacing. The nose is of freshly aerated candied caramels with a touch of floral notes. The flavors are brilliantly balanced: a sweet caramel malt upfront with a biscuit flour cutting mid-palate, then ending with (first) a nice, ripe floral-pine bitter, then (second) a metallic copper twinge of alcohol that provides an extra layer of depth via butter rum notes. The complexities abound, with lots of malts, bitters and candies intermingling around an oily palate. Great brew here, no matter the classification. Very reminiscent of an Impy Red Ale. Just great; you won’t go wrong.

Small beige head. Clear amber body with light carbonation. Tropical fruit and peaches aroma with strawy resiny notes. Dry-sweet caramelly resiny notes. Dry-sweet caramelly resiny taste with tropical fruit and strawberry notes. Fullish body. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry resiny tropical fruit aftertaste with caramel and straw notes. Hides the alcohol well. Nicely hopped nose. Simcoe is noticeable. Taste is a bit mild given the abv. Consider this a ’drinkable’ imperial ipa. TAP at AMCA (Madrid).

Die Schaumkrone hält mittelmäßig-gut, farblich ist das Bier bräunlich-gelbrot. Es riecht sehr alkoholisch-fruchtig, die fruchtigkeit geht in richtung citrus. Geschmacklich ist es sehr hopfig-bitter mit etwas citrusgeschmack, nach den ersten Schlucken ist es nicht mehr so bitter aber dafür hat es eine schleimige Konsistenz der Mund ist nach dem Schlucken genauso trocken wie davor, kurios! Das spätere Aroma, ist eher süßliche und schleimige mit etwas hopfigkeit die vorallem im Nachgeschmack bitter ist, finde ich nicht so spannend, der Beginn war besser. Fazit: Ein relativ gutes Bier, für den Preis gibt es aber deutlich besseres. Interessant, speziell aber ich würde es nicht nochmal kaufen. Amber coloured and hazy. Has an off-white head, mostly lasting. Heavy malty aroma, light citrus. Flavor starts heavy sweet, heavy hoppy, bitter finish. Creamy, dry texture and soft carbonation.

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Heavy malty and moderate hopy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Very alcoholic. Moderate bitter average finish. Creamy palate.

On tap at Haand beer festival 2012. Golden colour with a medium big white head. Aroma is hoppy and laden with tropical fruits, but there is also a good mix of malts in there as well. Flavour is very bitter and laden with hops. Notes of tropical fruits, some malts and alcohol.

Clear amber with a big off whtie head. Aroma is pine and belgian yeast with some spice. Booze, yeast and citrus taste, really sweet malt. I’m not into this one.

This beer style remind me Brewdog Hardcore but less tropical, more malty with a very nice powerful finish. Less hops thus less bitterness in aftertaste too. Well hidden 10%ABV make this a very dangerous beer !
