Bottle from Gastronomie.. pour is a hazy caramel.. Smell is grassy with sweet malts and belgian yeast. Taste is grassy, bitter, caramel, grapefruit, toffee. Oily mouthfeel. Interesting TIPA.

Drinking from a 33 cl bottle. In the aroma I have mainly hop and citrus. The clear copper beer has a large off-white head. The hop blows you away in the taste. High carbonated.

hops pellets. sorry for being harsh, but even tipple it is not a good ipa. this one is more sweet, malty even, but aroma is lacking. use different hops!

Murky orange/amber with no head at all. Aroma of citrus, mainly grapefruit, and some pineapple. Taste is not as bitter as expected given the fact this is a TIPA. The alcohol is very present, making this TIPA taste and feel like a ’regular’ IPA. Good beer but not very special. Ecoeurante....

Maris (1011) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - OCT 15, 2014
From a 330ml bottle on 15/10/2014. Pours a cloudy apricot with virtually no head. The nose features caramel, fruit and honey but is perhaps more malty than hoppy. Sweet stone fruit (peach, apricot) and brown sugar dominates in the mouth, but there’s also a good dose of caramel malt, along with a firm, resiny, slightly tart, lingering bitterness which features just a touch of grapefruit and lemon. Has a syrupy palate and moderate carbonation. This is an unusual and very interesting brew. It’s big and bold but far from a typical imperial IPA. Lovely.

Pours copper with a small, dense head. Nose shows loads of sweet rich caramel malt with some resinous and piny hops underneath. Intense flavours. A lot more malt but the hops are more prominent overall. Big piny notes alongside a whack of hot alcohol.

Bottle 33cl. Dark amber wit an offwhite head. Yeast and alcohol in the nose and hints of hop. Not as much as I hoped for. Flavour of rich malt (some might think it’s too much). It has not the IPA effect as the double IPA - DIPA. Very full bodied and a long lasting finish.
