Small to medium yellowish head over hazy copper-ochre beer. Nice grapey nose, USA hops. Madeleine cookies, cake, lighlty toasted. Seriously bitter flavour, fully hoppy, with just a slight malty-cakey sweetness, far in the background. Bit metallic, on the verge of aggressive bitterness. Few fruity impressions, orange and mandarine peel. Medium bodied, hints at astringency. Seems to lack some maltbacking. OK, it’s not a double IPA, but the bitternes gets a tad too much emphasis as it is.

Bottle. Almost clear, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is citrusy and piney, with a little maltyness in the back. The flavor has a nice bitterness, supported by pine cones, citrus peel and some peaches. Malt flavors are present, but left in the back. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. A fine bitterness in the end. A quite lovely beer, especially flavor wise. 110916

Looks great, cloudy orange brown, if it wasn’t (again) for the lack of head. Smell is caramel hops. Taste is some caramel sweetness and nice hop bitterness. Fairly full-bodied, and fairly low carbonation. It’s ok, but not really my beer, don’t know why exactly...

Bottle, bought @ Etregourmet.
Murky, slightly pale amber with a medium, staying, creamy, white head. Aroma has peach melba, apricot, light graininess and some yeast. Mild viniousness with some slight grape notes. Lowish carbonation, fat dry and very creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is heavy bitter, peach, apricot, pine. Very dry and with mild maltiness. Quite dry in the lingering bitter finish. Nice IPA.

mile (1456) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 13, 2011
Bottle. Dark golden, hazy, small and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweet aroma, some tropical fruitiness, caramel and some grapefruit hoppyness. Body is medium and lightly sweetish flavor, some tropical fruitiness, lots of caramel, some grapefruit and piney hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, some tropical fruitiness, caramel, some grapefruit and piney hoppyness. Sweetish and fruity IPA with way too much caramel considering the hoppyness.

Bottle. It poured a hazy orange-brownish golden liquid with a small white head. Smell of hops and freshly ground malts. Similar taste, strong bitterness. Lots of hops and bitterness in the taste.
