Pours a dark amber liquid, a bit like a bourbon. Little foam. Smells sweet, of roasted malt, caramel, maple syrup and alcohol. The taste is similar to the smell, with caramel and maple syrup, along with a nice hop bitterness and a warming alcohol feel. Super smooth mouthfeel, like most good barley wines. A good base beer for the barrel aged versions to come.

Looks.. Caramelised orange/Amber, no head, loads of sediment. Smells.. Roasty malts, caramels, alcohol and some dried fruits. Tastes..big & chewy boozy caramels and malts, booze soaked dried fruits, lingering bitterness and a little alcohol heat at the end.

33 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg.
Aroma is surprisingly mild with hay, cereal, biscuits and some sweet whisky notes. Flavour has stinging whiskey, alcohol, toffee, caramel and menthol. Alcohol becomes even buring after some sips. Too much alcohol and too stuffy, drinkability is not that great.

Bottle @ WWT IV, courtesy of me. Pours a clear orange beer with a medium sized, off white head on top. Aroma is quite malty and boozy, sugary, Flavor is very sweet and boozy with a big malty and caramel base. Aftertaste is long and sweet, with light carbonation. Good stuff.
