Peaty start malty middle and then the smokiness to finish. The nose is straight up single malt Scotch whiskey. This drink is silky smooth the whole way through.

Ar: Ardbeg smoke a plenty! Peat, ashy, tar, like licking a sailboat! Just lovely! Ap: black colour, no head. F: heavy, heavy oak aging, This is intense! Smokey, completely dominating the other notes, ashy, peaty, sweet, boozy, rich as you can’t believe, coffee, roasty, licorice, soy sauce, woody, lovely! Ending in a warming and extremely smokey note. M: Soft carbonation, like velvet. T: This is awesome!

An impressive stout. Close your eyes and you think you are smelling a fine whisky. This is a top class stout that is a delight for everyone who loves their beers above average. The body is light and the palate not too special, but the taste is a joy.

Cask at GBBF - 08/08/12. Jet black appearance with a thin tan head that soon dissipates. Nose is full on Ardbeg whisky, a little leather and roast malt in the background and a whiff of booze. Tastes as nose, a little licqourice and a metallic tinge. Sweet tasting, Good smooth mouthfeel with little noticeable carbonation, slightly sticky and cloying in a boozy whisky finish,

Bottle@Home. Heavily peated aroma. Black, small brown head, good lace, pours very thick. Sweet, chocolate, liqourice, coffee but mainly lots of peat. Full bodied. Not very easy going obviously. And I must admit you gotta love peated whisky. But if you do it’s a wonderful beer.
