Bottle, 11% @ FOneFan, Pre-Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2012. Black with tiny beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and peat. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, liquorice, peat, medium sweet, whiskey, hop and a little bitter.

Botte: Medium fluffy tan head, disappears slow and leaves a sticky foam on the glass and vast tan lacing on top of a black colored beer. Smell glue, wood glue, whiskey tones, hint of sharper plastic and hints of coffee, cream and vanilla. Taste lots of earth, some roasted barley malts, bitter, light creamy sweet tints, wood, tar, wood lactose bacteria, hint of clay, woody herbs, some chocolate. A bit weak aftertaste of earth, medium bitter, some bitter chocolate and roasted herbs/hops. Low carbo, soft oily mouthfeel, full body and a creamy oily texture. This beer is ok, maybe a bit out of tune, but guess that they have to figure out how long to add these Imperial Stouts to such specific barrels.

Kolsvart och i princip utan kolsyra och skum. Massivt rökig charkdoft. Som att lukta på Ardbeg minus stickig alkohol. Munkänslan är len och ganska rund, smaken är kärvare, bränt trä, kol och tjära, mörkt rökt oxkött, liten sötma och antydan till bitter finish. Ett massivt och maffigt öl och det mest Islaywhisky- liknande jag druckit.

From bottle at Haand festival 2012. Black color, bubbly light brown head. Smoky aroma with wood, licorice, whisky, roast. Taste of coffee, whisky, caramel, pineapple and grass. Salty and bitter finish with a fruity aftertaste.

Bottle @ pre-TFODRBSG, Ulfborg. Almost black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and heavy peated smoke. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with a lot of peat. 170812

Bottle. Pitch black color, beige head. Aroma of judain, peat and lots of whisky aromas. Flavor and mouthfeel are quite boozy but still very nice to drink.

Cask at GBBF - 08/08/12. Jet black appearance with a thin tan head that soon dissipates. Nose is full on Ardbeg whisky, a little leather and roast malt in the background and a whiff of booze. Tastes as nose, a little licqourice and a metallic tinge. Sweet tasting, Good smooth mouthfeel with little noticeable carbonation, slightly sticky and cloying in a boozy whisky finish,

Bottled 33cl. Strong smokiness. Leather showing up. Full bodied. Band-aid reminiscence throughout. Very nice.

Bottled@PBF2012. Pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is peated malts, some smoke as well as mild liquorice and mild herbal notes. Flavour is liquorice, peat and some mild smoked notes. Very balanced and nice mellow Ardbeg flavours (Though the Ardbeg notes are very evident).
