Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph.
Pours deep black with just some slight brown edges. Fine, staying, small, creamy, cappucino head. Lovely whiskey aroma, mild boozyness, some roasted hazel nuts, mild liqourice, coffee and dark chocolate. Medium carbonation, fairly light and somewhat oily mouthfeel. Flavour starts with mild oaky dryness, some sweet malts, hard roasted, good chocolate, mild whiskey notes. Very malty dry and bitter in the finish. Very lovely barrel aging on a good Imperial stout.

33 cl bottle, Copenhagen, Denmark. Jet black pour, no head until a faint line rings the glass. Burnt malt aroma with a woody base and some seaside freshness. Mellow with a spruce-resin hit followed by a sweet earthy ink finish. A less intense whisky burn rounds it out.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks rateyourpoison for sharing! Pours a thick deep brown with no head at all. Aromas very sweet and boozy lots of toffee and caramel brown sugar and scotch woody notes. Flavor starts with a rich sweet syrupy carMel candy and brown sugar note. Picks up the aggressive woody and earthy Scotch notes before a boozy and fusel sweet finish. Medium to full very sticky syrupy body and zero carbonation. Odd without carbonation Almost liquor like and very sweet and candyish.

Bottle @BBF 2010. Nice mild smoke in the nose, wood, warm whiskey in the sip - slightly thin aftertaste for my liking in an Imperial Stout though.
