A black colored with no head. The aroma of vailla, smoke malts and dark fruits. The taste has a full flavor of smoked malts, bitter mocca, dark fruits, dry with notes of alcohol. The aftertaste is dry bitter with mocca malts.

33 cl bottle, Copenhagen, Denmark. Jet black pour, no head until a faint line rings the glass. Burnt malt aroma with a woody base and some seaside freshness. Mellow with a spruce-resin hit followed by a sweet earthy ink finish. A less intense whisky burn rounds it out.

Thanks rateyourpoison for sharing! Pours a thick deep brown with no head at all. Aromas very sweet and boozy lots of toffee and caramel brown sugar and scotch woody notes. Flavor starts with a rich sweet syrupy carMel candy and brown sugar note. Picks up the aggressive woody and earthy Scotch notes before a boozy and fusel sweet finish. Medium to full very sticky syrupy body and zero carbonation. Odd without carbonation Almost liquor like and very sweet and candyish.

Bottle @BBF 2010. Nice mild smoke in the nose, wood, warm whiskey in the sip - slightly thin aftertaste for my liking in an Imperial Stout though.

Compared the taste to the normal version. This one has the additional taste of wood and is less sharp in the aftertaste. The aging on the barrel has made this one smoother and certainly added to the taste.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2011 Side by side with normal version. Taste like the regular, but a bit softer more wooden. A bit different but both get equal points, cause like them both in own way.

Pours a dark brown body with a medium tan head. Aroma of fennel, roasted malt, chocolate, licorice, and earthiness. Flavor of chocolate, earth, yeast, nuts, char, wood, coffee, and roasted malt with a dry, bitter finish.

On tap at GBBF 2010. Black colour, no head. Some iodine on aorma. TCP too. Base beer is ok, bI just donít like TCP. Good intense dark choc. Just too much for me and a bit sweet.

Black with a firm tan head. Aroma of licorice, toffee and caramel with Bowmore character. Intense, sweet and dark flavour with lots of roasted malt, and a bit of Bowmore. Reasonably balanced
