Bottled. More or less black colour, small brown head. Aroma is leather, mild peat, some vanilla and nicely fit in liquorice, roasted malts and some herbal notes, Flavour is peat, some mild peat smoked notes (mixed with burnt wood) as well as some slight alcohol. Very thick when pouring, and extreme palate. Brilliance, I can’t really say much more on this one...

Bottle from Speciaal Bier Winkel, Bodegraven, bb 03/2015
parallel with the Bowmore version

Black color, with sparse bubbles, not yet a full head. The aroma has clearly more iodine and sea character than the Bowmore. Full bodied, with very good chocolate flavor, light dusty touch, some liquorice, some iodine and peat (less than suggested by the aroma); quite strong bitterness, but well balanced overall.
Very good, a bit too roasty and dusty though.

Bottle. A clear-looking very dark brown beer with a dense, beige head of moderate size. The aroma is very peated, with some roasted malts and coffee. The flavor too is dominated by peat, there’s too much of it I think. Roasted malts, coffee and some booze as well. Full body, some boozy warmth and a pleasant carbonation. Lasting peated finish. Overall, as mentioned it’s too peated, but it’s still nice.140117

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are lots of peat, smoke, wood, roast malt and hops. Way too peated for me.

Bottled 330ml Peta1 Almost opaque black color, tiny brown head. Excellent peat-smokey aroma with some wood and licorice. Full-bodied, high viscocity. Roasted, lots of Isley whiskey peatyness and ... whiskey. Lingering smokeyness. Nice.
