chocolate roasty smoke malt. black oil color. full body, long finish. fabulous imperial stout.

Bottle at CGarvie tasting. It pours very dark brown with a small light tan head. The nose is earth, peat, medicinal, smoke, warming, TCP and Savlon. The taste is earth, roasted malt, brown sugar, whisky, light smoke, mellow roast, toast and burnt aspect with a dry finish. Hides Abv well. Medium body, fine carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Strong Islay whisky character. Good stuff.

Zwart, schuimige bruine kraag en schenkt als motorolie Aroma: moutig, koffie, caramout, gebrande mouten en een mega aroma van turf/veen Smaken: zoals het aroma al doet vermoeden is de smaak gigantisch overdreven qua turf, stevig zoet, matig bitter, te sterke smaken, stevig gemout( aardse-, gebrande-, geroosterde en caramouten), rokerigs Zacht mondgevoel, medium tot volle body, olieachtig/glad in de mond Één van de meest extreme biersmaken, kan niet zeggen dat ik hem erg waardeer daar ik het allemaal veel te overheersend vind smaken naar turf.

Bottle. Black with very little tan head. Atoma of peat and tcp, medicinal. Taste is full on peat with some tcp. Massive peat party, light sour. Not my idea of a good time. Quite harsh

On tap @ Borefts 2012 - taken from notes. Pours intense black with a small dark brown head. Intense chocolate aroma and taste, with nice peaty notes, and some petrol alike notes. Nice.

Bottle at Olympen. Deep dark brown with a tan head. Heavy tar and iodine aroma. Softening caramel in the mouth blending with smoke and iodine. Quite nice, actually.

Linköping Beer Expo 2013. Black beer with a brown head. Whisky aroma, peat, vanilla, prunes, smoked, licorice, tar, dark chocolate, hay, citrus notes, ash, creamy, licorice, dades. Roasted flavor, peat, vanilla, smoked, dades, dark chocolate, ash, tar, licorice. Really smoked finish, peat, vanilla notes, citrus notes.

@BBF12. Pours dark brown iwth a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, heavy peated smoke, chocolate and coffee. Flavour is roasted malt, sweet, alcohol, heavy peated smoke, chocolate and liquorish.

Very dark beer with no head. Smells very good, lot’s of peat, smoke and whisky. Tast was very good. Tast like a very good whisky, coffee, chocolade and smokey (bacon). Good texture and nice barrel aging!

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 Smells strongly og whiskey and malts. Dark, almost no head. Insanely good taste only a notch to sweet. Taste like whiskey thined out with the most delicious imp stout. Intense palate with the sweetness, but nice thickness. Sad with the sweetness or it would be perfect.
