330 ml bottle. A. BB 09/14. Courtesy of laiti.
Dark brown colour with a tiny tan head. Super strong peat... some whiskey and smoke in the aroma. Peat also dominating the flavour. Its like light whiskey. Alcohol kicks in quite strongly. Alcohol also in the aftertaste.

33 cl bottle @ Tampella, BBE 06/2014
Quite obvious, sweet whisky aroma with some peat. Flavour has herbs, whisky notes, lots of peat and smoke. Quite strong on whisky and peat; hard to even realize that this is beer I am having. Too sweet and sticky, but not bad. The last sips were quite high on salmiac.

tiong (3610) - Espoo, FINLAND - NOV 23, 2013
330ml bottle

Pours pitch black with a small light brown head. Aroma of whisky, peat, roastiness, licorice, hints of sweet syrup and sugar. Taste is peaty, roasty and woody with loads of whisky, vanilla and oaky notes. Finish is heavy, peaty and sweetish with notes of roastiness licorice and oak. Extremely heavy on peatiness, almost feels like a light version of an Islay whisky.

lusikka (5929) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 23, 2013
330 ml bottle, thanks laiti. Pours a dark brown colour with a minimal head. Aroma is very intense with peat, earthiness and licorice. Flavour is full-on malty with smoke, tar, heavy peat, salt and grass. Full bodied, thin mouthfeel and a long, warming, malty finish with heavy peatiness. Alcohol is clearly there. More of a whisky than a beer.

Duft av rykt og tjre. Dyp sort farge. Nesten ikke skum. God smak av mye lakris, noe cogniac og rykt.

rarbring (1240) - Linkping, SWEDEN - AUG 9, 2013
Aroma: Smoke, burnt bread, tar, sausages and soy sauce.
Appearance: A pitch black brew with a brown head leaving some lacing but big curtains,
Taste: Smoke and peat, brown toast, brown sugar and dark dried fruits, vanilla and oak. Tar and ashes, sausages and beef jerky.
Palate: Little carbonation, soft, oily and a huge body. Slightly dry.
Overall: A nice whisky infused beer - even better with a splash of Caol Ila 18 YO in it.
Note: Bottle 330 ml Reviewed 2013-08-09.

What an extreme taste. Strong notes of peated whiskey in this dark and oily IRS. Drinking this is a special experience.

Bottle @ caesar, from brewery. Black colour, tan head. Nose is peat, roasted malts, band aid, faint coffee. Flavour is peaty, roasted malts, a bit smoky and ashy. Finish is dry and peaty. Not a big fan of the peated whiskeys, especially when it overpowers everything else.
