4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at Christianssand Brygghus. It pours an almost black body, topped by a finger-thick light tan head. Super-peated nose with oak and some vanilla. Roasted malts, alcohol, coffee and a herbal note too. The flavour is more or less equally peated, with warming alcohol, roasted notes, quite a lot of sweetness, and some bitterness. Full body, warming and smooth. Lasting peaty finish with a nice sweetness. Way too peaty, but lovely. Very lovely. 121004

Black pour with a khaki head. Intense Scotch whiskey aroma with tons of smoke and peat. A really meaty nose. Lots of roasted malt, some oak, and a hint of chocolate. The flavor is also very heavy on the peat notes with a savory, meaty character. Some oak, mild vanilla, tons of roast, and a bit of licorice.
