Clear dark brown to black beer, small to no head, few big unstable bubbles, that’s it. Aroma: sweet, dried fruits, alcohol, whiskey, caramel. MF: no carbon, full body. Taste: very sugary, alcohol, lots of vanilla, sweet, dark chocolate, some coffee. Aftertaste: alcohol, bitter hops, vanilla, coffee, roasted, dark chocolate, bitter finish. Nice one!

Opaque black - brown beer, few pale tan bubbles, Palate is smooth and dry, not much carbonation. Smooth mild dark malts, fruity whisky, little dark chocolate. Light dry finish. The near flat body robs this of some vibrancy but it’s okay.

Pours really flat, no gas remaining whatsoever. This one has dark malts and cocoa upfront with the whiskey flavour coming through quite delicately in the finish.

Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Ottima imperial stout!

Bottle 33 cl. Number 3 of a range of 7 Emelisse IRS. What an evening... Light small head. Sweet aroma gives hints of the barrel aging. The taste misses out the whisky taste. A bit disappointing. Still a nice beer, though. I just hoped for more. Guess a bit longer bartel aging would create a much better beer.

Fra flaske, 33 cl. Sort med et lille beige skumhovede. Lav karboneret. Ristet malt. Tørv. Mørke lagrede frugter. Sødme. Lakrids, som bliver meget tydelig i munden. Det samme gør whisky-noterne. Lav bitterhed. Meget lækker!

Bottle from ABC Beers, Dean Haag. Poured a deep mahogany colour with no head and no life at all. The aroma is rich, alcoholic and peaty. The flavour is strong bitter, with a rich alcohol, liqourice, roasted malt and coffee palate. It’s a super beer no doubt, but this one is more than a year old and i’m surprised it had no life at all, but the flavour was unaffected by spending a year in my cellar.

Basicly no head, some bubbles at best. Taste is slightly sweet and peated, dark malts, licorice, coffee, tar, dark sugar, caramel, oak, alcohol, grass, vanilla. Taste is slightly dry, dark malts, peat, oak, coffee, whisky, licorice, dark sugar, grass. Longlasting bitterness, slightly sour-ish dry mouthfeel. Not bat.
