Pourd dark black with a small, frothy tan head. Aroma of roast dark chocolate malt. Medium body, quite creamy sweet, low carbonation, flavour is a bit vinous with some roast malt. Dry but sweet aftertaste. Nice change from the usual Emelisse barrel aged versions.

33CL bottle. Near opaque, mahogany colored beer, with a small tan and a little lacing. Whiskey notes shine through in aroma along with coffee, roasted malt, vanilla, hops and peat. Soft almost flat carbonation, medium bodied, oily, finishes with alcohol warmth. Flavor is sweet, salt licorice, coffee, vanilla, whiskey barrel. All nicely balanced. Aftertaste is long lasting, sweet and slightly bitter.

330 ml bottle. Aroma sweet with subtle whiskey notes, not as powerful as, say, the Ardbeg version. Personally, I think the subtle flavors are more pleasant than the dominating, in-your-face-flavors. Taste isn’t as sweet as expected, but with a rich, full malt body and a nice whisky finish. Very nice beer.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a lot of sediment and a small tan head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, subtle smoke, liquorice, and hints of whiskey. Flavour is roasted malt, liquorice, and subtle whiskey – with some warming alcohol.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a pitch black with a tiny brownish head. Subtle roast aroma and some distinct whisky notes. Rich body, low carbonation, heavy roast and thick barrel accents. Rich boozy finish. 271212

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with brown edges and small tan head. Aroma of licorice, oak, light smoke/peat, coconut and sweet dark fruit. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with notes of licorice, raw sugar and coconut. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice.

Almost black with a tiny brown head. Fruity with wood tones. malt, fruit, wood and licorice. Full body with a bitter after taste.

Pours opaque black, almost no head. Aroma is berries, peat, the sea, malt. Mouthfeel is thinner than I expected, and a little oily. Strong malt on finish. I don’t know the whiskey, so I can’t comment on how it affects the flavor, but the flavor is excellent.

Dark, chocolaty aroma and appearance. Complex on the front, disappears from the mouth quickly except for some lingering heat. Hard to taste beer in it though.

Bottle! Thanx Mr.Rask! Dark Red/Black colour, big brown head. Aroma! Is a Bomb! of aromas: Dark choclate, vanilla, sugar Raisins, and a little bit Viny. Flavor had a nice creamy mouthfeeling of fruits, caramelly, vanilla, woody, whisky, big body, long complex finish, with vanilla, and dark choclate, and raisns. A werry nice IMP stout !!!
